10.01.2022 It has been two weeks since the Academy starting running our Certificate III and Certificate IV courses online. In this time we have successfully held 11 full day classes with close to 100% attendance! A big shout out to our full qualification students who have not only managed the challenges of learning how to navigate the virtual classroom but also fully interacted and presented on their own topic of research online. ... 08.01.2022 Meet Pam! Each month we will be showcasing some of our incredible staff at IRT Academy to acknowledge their contributions to our community. Pam has been with IRT for 8 years, providing support and education to staff in areas such as Dementia and Palliative Care, Leadership Management and Medication Skill Sets to name a few. ... Through Pam's career at IRT she has taken on a number of roles and projects. Her diverse career is part of what makes her an excellent educator providing support to our staff and students. Pam's drive to continue to learn has seen her achieve a Masters of Science (Nursing) and a number of Graduate Diplomas in dementia, wound and health care. Pam, born in Canada was raised in Newfoundland, a unique island off the east coast of Canada known for its unique cuisine including Fish & Brews, Cod Tonques & Toutons! You’ll have to ask Pam what those are! Outside of IRT Pam enjoys travelling in her caravan and quilting. We thank Pam for her continuous support to IRT and her dedication to her students.
