12.01.2022 Well, it hasn't been a restful time over New Year with fires around the town. Irvinebank had extraordinary support from many brigades and the fires are virtually out. The road is graded and is lovely and smooth, so if you feel like a drive, the Loudoun House Museum and it's friendly staff would enjoy taking you back into the days of tin.

09.01.2022 Spring really feels like is is here today with the arrival of the Eastern or common Koel this morning. I just checked this site and he arrived 24th last year, so he is early...perhaps La Nina? The trees and the air are full of birds at the moment, all enjoying the blossom and the sunshine.

04.01.2022 We haven't heard the koel yet, but it sounds like a solitary channel billed cuckoo arrived on the western edge of town Monday. The koel is running a bit late this year; hope this doesn't mean storms are going to be late too!

03.01.2022 The Museum workers enjoyed a terrific day yesterday with the Yungaburra Information Centre volunteers who braved the potential rain and visited Irvinebank. We had morning tea in the School of Arts Hall, visited the National Bank Building, Loudoun House Museum and then a visit to Brian's shed. It was a great day sharing time and stories with such a friendly group of fellow volunteers.
