20.01.2022 Hi everyone I have recently vertimowed my home lawn and have included a couple of pics to show before and after and then there will be updated shots to follow as the lawn regenerates . If you feel your lawn is too spongy or hard to retain the green look as your mower is constantly scalping (removing most of the green leaves) then it maybe time for a vertimow. Stewart 0428538051.

The irrigation system and plants and stone where supplied and installed by Irvines turf maint the turf was supplied and installed by banksia brook turf farm ( cliff green). If you have any irrigation issues or need a system installed give me a call on 0428538051 . Dont forget no irrigation until the 1 of sept and only run your irrigation if the ground is dry you should still be receiving sufficient water and moisture from the spring falls.

19.01.2022 Tip of the week. If you haven't yet carried it out fertilising is the go right now. If you wish to have your soil tested and turf assessed for the best fertiliser to give your turf the maximum benefit and maximum health coming into the peak growth season and the peak of the heat. 18.01.2022 Time to apply a wetting agent to your lawn these are the premium residential products available from total eden (biagra) and Bunnings (every drop) they both have the ability to improve your moisture filtration rates and then also hold onto the water once its in the ground they both need reapplication monthly.

Tip for your lawns we will be soon running out of ground temperature and all warm season varieties will begin to slow down so now is that last chance to fertilise and get the green surface required to get through winter. 16.01.2022 Good evening All Only 2 and a half weeks till sprinklers need to be shut down 1st of June . Now is the ideal time to apply fertiliser soil moisture is increasing and make the most of these last few applications of irrigation to water in a slow release fertiliser that will give the lawn a small amount of nutrient which is all the lawn can utilise in the colder months. If you wish to get more from your fertiliser during winter switch to a water soluble or foliar feed ( nutrien...t is absorbed via the leaf not the roots) This will give you a bigger bang for your buck! 13.01.2022 We have had a very mild start to summer a few hot days but also a few cool days with rain so lawns are holding colour and growth a little longer than usual , now is the ideal time to get your wetting agent down to maintain and build on that residual moisture hanging around in the soil before it gets evaporated away in the hotter months. We have 1 month left of summer and it wont belong before the temperature begins to drop and the winter weed seeds begin to germinate , water logging and grass rotting from excess shade and moisture build up. 07.01.2022 WINTER IS NEARLY HERE Its now time to get that last application of fertiliser down before those last few degrees of ground temperature shut the grasses down for winter and spring. Also dont forget wetting agents not only useful in summer but useful when you have a waterlogged patch of garden or lawn and you need improved drainage to minimise the chances of fungi/disease. Last but not least the biggest problem in winter is the grassy weeds popping up winter grass and rye gr...ass are the most common. We have a good moisture level in the soil from the winter rains, now its time to start the work of holding the moisture at as a high a level as possible to assist our lawns and plants thriving when the summer heat comes along. 02.01.2022 In my last post I mentioned the end of summer approaching fast and how we need to use that last bit of heat to get our lawns ready for winter. Another big issue approaching is winter weeds these are hard to control once they have become evident the main nasties are winter grass and rye grass. The most effective control for these little buggers is to apply a pre emergent herbicide this will stop weeds emerging and will be your most effective tool in controlling the issue ongoing.
