23.01.2022 Senior Support Engineer in the US, Levon Lyons recently used volunteer hours at his children's school through our 'Take2' volunteering program. Levon and his wife spent a day testing and troubleshooting 57 laptops that were either broken or not working. Only 6 turned out to be beyond repair! Thanks to Levon's assistance, 51 kids now have access to functioning laptops to enable them to focus on their studies without technological or financial roadblocks. 12.01.2022 Back in May we ran a fitness challenge: "Move in May" with 102 people in 17 teams across our regions. In total we walked over 32 MILLION steps during May with a daily average of 11 thousand! Rommel lead his team 'I really should do some exercise' and managed a staggering 30,000 step average as an individual. He timed his walks with team meetings split over several sessions per day. Rommel and his team were able to meet up... near the end of the challenge for a socially distanced walking session and together they completed upwards of 120,000 steps over 5 hrs (including time for a well earned lunch! ). #WeAreIR #TeamUp #BeHuman

Vanessa (Chief of P&C) invited her team around to her place last week for a socially distanced team building day and lunchtime walk. They discovered a flying fox and couldn't pass up the opportunity for some shenanigans!

Aside from enjoying a bit of healthy competition, Global Content Manager, Kate Daley, has taken the opportunity to partake in a spot of bird watching. She shared a few of her finds; lorikeets, galahs, ibis - affectionately known as the "bin chicken" - but not to be confused with your run of the mill wild suburban chicken.... #WeAreIR #HaveALaugh #steptember

05.01.2022 We said goodbye last week to a huge part of IR and to the Sydney team in particular. Principal Software Engineer Andrew Savige (our beloved 'Ping Pong Princess') went into retirement after an incredible 22 years with us. Andrew played table tennis for Australia in his younger years and he shared his love of the game with anyone who wanted to learn at IR. He started up what became a hotly contested annual tournament. The division 1 comp games were always great to watch but And...rew's match summary after every game will go down in IR history. Fly-swatter smashes, shellackings, "style points" & hilariously specific nicknames had us all in stitches throughout every tournament. Kirsten Stewart and the R&D team came together to surprise Andrew with a socially distanced gathering for his last day. 'Televised' from various laptops so the whole office could still join from home (we couldn't let him leave without being the star in his final show after all!).
