19.01.2022 The Association received an update from the NSW Government for Community Sport on 14 August which was principally to address the sporting activities that result in the mixing of participants from different regions and is to apply for the next 6 weeks. Hockey NSW has also addressed part of these requirements with the cancellation of all field and indoor state championships. However, the update also included the request to minimise community sport spectators where practical, to parents and carers only. Unfortunately this means we’d prefer no aunties and uncles, grandparents or siblings crowding the sidelines if they don’t need to be there. 18.01.2022 Illawarra & Croom Hockey Centres open for training from Monday 29 June There has been a lot of work going on in the background over a number of weeks by the Illawarra Hockey Centre Board & Croom Hockey Centre Management Committee in conjunction with ISCH, Hockey NSW, Wollongong City Council and Shellharbour City Council in addressing the needs for use of the respective venues for a return to hockey. So, Yes, we can finally announce that the Illawarra and Croom Hockey Centres ...will be available for hire for training from Monday 29 June. But as most people would be aware, it's not going to be quite like it was before with the need to be subject at all times to all regulations, guidelines and directions of government and public health authorities and Hockey NSW in preventing the community transmision of COVID-19. Hence, the venues have prepared and had approved their COVID-19 Safety Plan with procedures and protocols that need to be in place to minimise any risk of COVID-19 transmission at the venues. This group of girls have been undefeated in the past 6 years ... 2014 U13 Division 1 champs 2015 & 16 Division 1 champs 2017, 18 &19 Division 1 champs as well as Division 1 Field champs in 2019 ...
