02.01.2022 ISEA 2018 is pleased to announce Nicolas Evans as another exciting speaker for the conference. Nicolas has been with FIFA since 2010 where he leads the research team dealing within the Technology and Innovation Department. He has been a great advocate of bringing science into football and proposing Law changes based on founded evidence. The introduction of goal-line technology in 2012, a number of technical specifications for sports equipment and technologies and the on-going... validation and standardization of Electronic Performance and Tracking Systems as well as Video Assistant Refereeing are the main areas that the team has implemented in the last years with view of implementation these innovations at the FIFA World Cup 2018. He has two postgraduate degrees with honours in finance & strategy and international affairs from the Institut dEtudes Politique de Paris and the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland respectively.
