14.01.2022 Love In The Time of Corona. It was beautiful to head off to a wedding last weekend, just myself, Natalie & Brendan in the back streets of Chippendale, after a simple registry wedding. These autumnal days feel like like living inside a crystal - still & clear, with impossibly blue skies. Shooting backlit into the sun works all day long, and it was really hard to go wrong with this happy two. 09.01.2022 A most beautiful wedding, of Josh & Carl, shot last November when it felt like the world was coming together, uniting during the bushfires, & celebrating gay weddings becoming legal (finally!) in Oz. Because #loveislove . This wedding saw families from New Zealand & India unite, (check shot 2# of the mums meeting). It was enough to have everyone in tears. As one groom’s father said: if the world has half your qualities it would be a truly beautiful place. 01.01.2022 So this was the first time I’ve ever been asked to shoot a proposal... It involved loitering on a wharf at Palm Beach like a true paparazza (fem. of paparazzi plural ), but it was all worth it, after asking upwards of 40 people to just pause a while behind me, because... I had to tell them the truth, I mean there were fishermen with beer cans and they were not happy about me being a wharf Nazi ‘n all ... so i told them a dude was about to propose to his girlfriend - there was even a red herring (another dude proposed to his girlfriend, 5 minutes before MY dude!) But it was all good, once the masses understood they became totes low key, she said yes, everyone clapped & I breathed a sweet sigh of relief. Cause life as an undercover paparazza can really mess with your adrenaline! #shesaidyes @ Palm Beach Wharf
