20.01.2022 The lord descends in the sound of the Holy names in Kali-Yuga. Which is His special mercy on all living entities that have found themselves in this day and age.... There is nothing like being in the Harinama party. It is all auspicious. I remember when I first saw the Harinama party when I was about 7 or 8 in Bourke St Mall in Melbourne in the early 80's. They were making such a racket, which seemed very unusual to me but all the devotees looked so happy. In my heart I said to myself, I want be just like them, after they had passed, because they all looked so happy... with nothing. That was ecstatic to me, and I now know that is the effect of associating closely with the Lord's Holy names. Self consciousness goes away and you really feel this amazing victory sweep through your whole mind and body. This is what the soul is craving for... spiritual elevation on the highest plane. Union with the divine. It can only be experienced, and you can get it for free just by coming with the devotees on Tuesdays and friday nights starting at Gopals in the City @ 6:30pm. Truely... there is nothing more nectar in the whole universe, it's what all the adverts on TV are trying to package when they are selling you a product. "you will feel bliss if you buy our product.... only $499 and you can feel bliss. Well we get ours for free, and that's one thing I have found by associating closely with the Hare Krishna's is that if you want to struggle like an ass and get cheated out of your money to gain material sukha, (happiness) then it is very expensive and tiresome. But if you chant Lord Krsna's holy names and associate with the devotees then you gain happiness very quickly and it doesn't wear off or have a used by date. It just increases. There's no need to continually "upgrade" to the latest version of Krsna prema, because it's already in your heart. You just have to want it... and as you go along in devotional life it just gets deeper and deeper, the love knows no boundaries. That is the key, to life in general, but it is the key to unlock your souls potential... and the biggest secret is that everybody can do it. It is ABSOLUTE and UNIVERSAL truth. All souls are seeking bliss but we are doing it through material means, not spiritual means. That's why material happiness always falls short. Because we are all seeking eternal bliss, eternal knowledge, eternal life, and you can get all those things by really wanting it. So today is a special day as it is Lord Krsna's appearance as Lord Caitanya. The most munificent, most merciful incarnation of the Lord. Please do something special, Chant Hare-Krsna, come to the temple, taste our wonderful prasadam, and have a perfect Gaura-Purnima free from stress, and taste the bliss of Krsna consciousness. 17.01.2022 The Lords pastimes are very misleading. It is very easy to see the picture of a pastime like this and in some way, misconstrue the lords divine love between Sri...mati-Radharani and think that the Lord is some lusty fellow just like any conditioned soul. Srila Prabhupada preached very heavily against this concept. It is not something that can be easily understood. The subtleties and secretive nature of the Lords love between Him and His own internal feminine energy is something that can not be speculated about. People have the wrong idea and drag the lords pastimes down to the mundane level thinking that Krsna is tainted with mundane lust. But this is God we are talking about. All the original desire of the Jiva, (us) reside in it's fullness within the lord. He is the original possessor of any character trait that we possess. So things like anger, lamentation, illusion, hankering, fear, delusion are spiritual emotions that are felt in their correct union with the Lord. Since he is the artist, and this mundane world is just the painting of the artist. Everything is here except, ecstatic bliss, full knowledge, and eternal youth, which are aspects of the lords eternal nature. They are only found in love, for love is the predominating factor of the spiritual world. The opposite of this material world where everything is tainted with mundane lust, fear and ignorance. So I just wanted to say this with respect to these pictures. There is nothing mundane about Radha-Krsna's love. Though because people are attracted by lust, then these pastimes are extremely misleading. To those who have had no purification by chanting, serving, hearing, or offering prayers they think this spiritual love is cheap. But this is the highest spiritual emotion on the platform of eternity. There is no death in the spiritual world and it is only accessed by those who can understand this spiritual love, with a desire to serve the lord IN love... There is nothing mundane or dirty about it. The lord performs innumerable pastimes, which boggle the mind, Half Man half lion to protect His devotee from the demoniac forces, a 3 foot dwarf Brahmana that cheats Bali Maharaja of his kingdom by begging three steps of land, and when the lord takes everything within creation with two steps, the lord asks him where to take His next step, as there was nothing left to take, so Bali Maharaja offers the Lord his own head to step on so that he could fulfil the desire of the lord. So Krsna is all attractive and that is the meaning of His name. He is God and this is what God is... ALL ATTRACTIVE to ALL souls. Whatever you want to see in the Lord is accessible for He is the original artist of this life and beyond. Always see the Lord with awe and reverence... we are just hearing about these pastimes at this time. But YOU have a unique position in those pastimes and this is why the lord comes. To reunite you with the supreme spiritual flavour of the eternal abode, which is free from the defective propensities of the material atmospheres. I am praying to you because I know the dev...otees of the Lord can warrant her a safe passage into her next body. She was such a friendly person, would give a helping hand and advice to anyone without thought for herself. She was such a beautiful person. I know that the Lord has a reason to take her away from us at such a young age, but the world is going to be missing another pure soul who gave everything to others without asking for anything for herself in return.
