11.01.2022 From midnight tonight, South Australians will pause and create a 6 day circuit breaker that will enable us to get ahead of the Parafield Cluster. This means al...l non-essential workers must stay home and only leave for groceries and medical supplies. Our decision to go hard and go early is based on the advice of our world class health team. I know the restrictions we have put in place will be challenging for many South Australians, but the alternative is the virus escapes into the wider community forcing an even longer lockdown. I urge people to be kind and respectful to one another during this time. Click through the images to see what's open and what's closed. Thank you for working together with us - we WILL get through this.

07.01.2022 6 days of Ramadan has passed by so quickly. This year has been such a blessed one as we were able to congregate with our families, neighbours & friends for iftar and prayers in our masjid. Many of our community came in droves this Ramadan to pray in solidarity, making endless dua for ease of our affairs, safe from the pandemic and for the safety of our brothers/sisters overseas or wherever they are. That's the beauty of Islam! Alhamdulilah, with the ease of Covid-19 restric...tions, we were able to facilitate & conduct workshops during Ramadan. Ramadan also coincides with the school holiday this year, hence it is imperative for us to ensure that our young minds are also engaged. Allow us to entice you with our highlights for the week: 1. Halaqa Girls' Sessions @ Al Salam Wandana & Al-Khalil centre 2. Ramadan-inspired craft workshop for kids @ Al Salam Wandana Centre 3. Daily iftar @ Al Salam Marion & Wandana Centre Masya Allah, these activities were made possible through your generosity. Hence, with your contribution of just $20 per month, Islamic Society of SA (ISSA) will be able to continue our journey in enriching our community and create sustainable legacy for the Muslims of SA. Do not hesitate to set up the direct debit today! It's for our future generations and beyond.. May Allah (swt) keep you and your families; and all of us in HIS mercy and protection. May this Ramadan be a blessed one for you and me. Ameen.

03.01.2022 The South Australian Muslim community has grown in vast numbers over the past 10 years and Alhamdulilah, through this time we have witnessed youth involvement increase dramatically also. The Islamic Society of South Australia has been exploring avenues to introduce beneficial programs and social activities in a safe environment, not only for the youth but for their families as well. Previously, programs such as Festivals, family picnics, barbeque sessions, social gathering a...nd movie nights were held for families to share both valuable time with each other and with the wider community. However, in recent times, ISSA has identified a great demand for a more creative and attractive approach to enhance the quality of our programs and events targeting this area. This is where your voices and opinions are important to us, to assist in improving the content and understanding the needs of the Muslim youth. We would like to invite you all, especially the youth themselves to come forward and be part of this important discussion to charter the future and provide an effective program for the future of the next generation.
