08.01.2022 VOLUNTEERING WITH CAIRNS DIVE CENTRE Although we do not offer a liveaboard option you would be working on the day boat Island Diver and visiting two of the most beautiful dive sites on the Great Barrier Reef. To be eligible to join our Volunteer Program you will need to have a minimum Open Water Certification. If you do not have this certification we can help you obtain this certification prior to joining the program. We have some fantastic course options available.... The volunteer program is run over 5 days with the final day of your program involving you training the next volunteer on what is expected and showing them the ropes. Daily duties include but are not limited to: washing dishes and keeping the galley clean assisting with morning and afternoon tea and cleaning the areas after each service Preparing the food for service at lunchtime. Caterers are used. If you are interested in applying for a block you can either come in to the shop (121 Abbott Street, Cairns QLD 4870) to complete the application in store or email us at [email protected].
