21.01.2022 One of the absolute pleasures of the Caravan Park industry in Airlie Beach is the diversity of wonderful people and characters that come to visit us. Ian and Kay Sawyer on their way home to Coolum Beach called in late yesterday in the final stage of their most recent 6000 kilometre tour of Queensland. With all the time in the world for a chat and of un disguisable British heritage Ian talked me through the history of his restoration. A forward control 6 cylinder 1966 series... 2a. Build number 327 of 361 made. For authenticity I encouraged him not to exchange his T shirt for the photo, soiled from the vehicle maintenance I had interrupted. This worthy current custodian of the vehicle has done a full internal fitout complete with captains chairs and bathroom.
