25.01.2022 Competence leads to confidence. :) Theres no denying that the water can be a really fun place to play, which is why ISR lessons equip little ones with the skil...ls they would need to save themselves if the need were to arise. These same skills form the foundation for a lifetime of safe, FUN, enjoyment of the water from snorkeling to swim teams. To learn more, please visit www.infantswim.com See more

24.01.2022 What will my child learn at ISR? A lot. :) At ISR, each lesson and objective is child-centered, but with each child, theres a core competency of survival: lear...ning to rollover and float. As little ones grow and continue to learn new physical skills, like walking, they are ready to learn the full ISR Self-Rescue Sequence which consists of swimming a short distance, rolling over to rest and breathe, then flipping back over to continue swimming. This sequence is repeated until the child attains the edge, bank, or is able to be rescued by an adult. To see what other little ones can do, and what your child will learn, please visit: http://www.infantswim.com/lessons/isr-lessons.html. See more

23.01.2022 There are so many awesome things happening in pools across the U.S. and beyond. :) Today, thanks in no small part to your support, shares, and encouragement, t...housands of little ones are learning the skills they would need to save their own lives if the need were to arise, while at the same time building a foundation of self-confidence and fun. 23.01.2022 Did your little one learn to rollover and float at Infant Swimming Resource and is now toddling around? If so, wed like to make sure her skills fit her now tha...t she is a "big girl." :-) A child who learned to rollover to float, and is now walking is generally ready to learn the full ISR Self-Rescue Sequence which consists of swimming a short distance, rolling over onto her back to rest and breathe, then turning back over to continue swimming. 22.01.2022 When we think of bath-time, we cant help but think of rubber duckies and fun before bedtime. However, it is important to remember that trouble only takes a fe...w inches of water. Since 1966, weve heard so many stories of loss, and many involve bathtubs. If you have to run downstairs to check something or grab a ringing phone please, please, please, bring your little one with you. Puddles can be cleaned up. See more

19.01.2022 Teaching little ones to save themselves in the water if the need were to arise is the sole purpose of Infant Swimming Resource; that isnt to say, however, that... there arent some awesome added benefits. For a lot of little ones, learning their ISR Self-Rescue skills will be the first thing they accomplish without the help of mom and dad. We never get tired of seeing young children so proud of themselves! :) See more

19.01.2022 Every ISR Instructor remembers their first students like they were in the water with them yesterday. I cant believe it has been a year since these little guys graduated - miss you all xx

16.01.2022 A great float is the first building block to the full ISR Self-Rescue skill set. Once little ones can float, their ISR Instructor gently guides them through wh...at it takes to rollover and get to their newly learned float until they can do it all by themselves... eventually while fully clothed. 15.01.2022 Infant Swimming Resource was featured in the New York Times Magazine on Fathers Day http://www.nytimes.com//before-learning-to-crawl-you-must- which means mo...re families than ever before know that a moments inattention doesnt have to cost a child her life. Media pieces like this one, combined with the number of new Instructors training this year, means access to and awareness about ISR Lessons is improving quickly. :) See more

09.01.2022 Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children under the age of 4 in 23 U.S. states. Nationwide, it ranks second only to vehicle accidents. On a...verage, 11 children drown every day. With ISR training, just because a child wanders to the pool alone doesnt mean he has to die there, and thats our mission. - JoAnn Barnett, Infant Swimming Resource president and CEO

07.01.2022 Competence leads to confidence. While all ISR Students learn a core competency in the water as part of our ISR Self-Rescue Program, theres an often overlooked... extra benefit; confidence. For many little ones, learning to swim and float is the first thing they accomplish without the help of mom or dad. Each year we get notes from parents whose children dont want to take off their ISR T-shirt or "my swimming shirt." To learn more, please visit www.infantswim.com. See more
