25.01.2022 Happy dancing Sweet Zoe and Missy had a great session today with big mama Lexi then pawed around in the small dog park while we had social in the big park. #INATD #brisbanedogtrainer #reactivedogs

24.01.2022 I end my day today feeling so thankful, so grateful and so very blessed to have so many amazing clients. K9 parents this weekend you have all been amazing, all your puppies are becoming very well educated and its all due to your dedication to their learning. Absolutely love everyones honesty and taking ownership of their own behaviour, and most of all your patience and the unconditional love that you show to your K9 buddy. Keep up your awesome K9 parenting, and even though I... am still working minimum hrs please know I am still here for you I am always just a text message away. have a awesome week stay safe Blessings Zigrid

24.01.2022 Sweet Paddington happily tuckered out after a private session at home. This is one cool independent optimist little pup. In home training is the best as it gives us the opportunity to role play how to implement everyday training while making sure we set the home environment up for success with pup and their family . #INATD #brisbanedogtrainer... #puppyschool #puppytraining See more

24.01.2022 I picked Gidget up on my way home from work today so she and Ryda boy could have a run around and play. These 2 have become great buddies both tuckered now which means I dont have to take Ryda out for a walk. Yes its ok if you dont take your dog out for a walk so long as you see to their exercise and social needs in another way. #brisbanedogtrainer #INATD

23.01.2022 Yay gorgeous Hamma has his very own set up so he can still feel a big part of the family that includes a little human baba. Baba has her own little play area in the living room. Hamma is a amazing little pup and has it made with his amazing K9 parents who I have to say have to be the very first humans that have ever given me triple wow moments. You see they also have cats and these cats are Inside cats and truly have an amazing couple of outdoor areas that are both full with... environment enrichment. These amazing humans are truly 5 star responsible pet parents setting themselves and their animals up for success in all areas. K9 parent mum got me today as she had to go into work and left me to do hubby and baba training with Hamma lol We had a fantastic session all because Hamma made us all look good as he is so happy and loves the training. #INATD #Brisbanedogtrainer See more

23.01.2022 This book was mentioned to me by my mentor. So while nursing Darcy it was a book that I read and as my mentor said it would be a good must book to have for all K9 parents and I have to say I totally agree. Can purchase it from book depository. It should really help people really understand the domestic pet dog of today and the science behind learning theory. #INATD... #brisbanedogtrainer See more

23.01.2022 Its long but well worth a watch. Who is a kibble feeder and who is a raw feeder. Go on share and give your reason why. Me I am a raw feeder and 95% of the time all human grade and spray free or organic and only grass fed meat. #INATD... #Brisbane See more

23.01.2022 The mornings can be the slowest for Darcy and the hardest for me. I know I am getting sleep deprived when I put on my work clothes on inside out. All worth it never ending love for my Darcy

22.01.2022 Yay happy dancing Vet visit with old man Darcy to rule out a UT infection as they can be prone to get them with bladder cancer and all came back negative phew lost only 900 grams in a couple of months so that’s not too bad. He is doing awesome all considering so we will keep doing what we are doing and taking each day as it comes. So much to be grateful for #INATD... #brisbanedogtrainer #seniordogs See more

21.01.2022 Yay Bertie officially graduated today with the assistance of big boy Cosmo. Bertie has done so well thanks to his wonderful human family. Hope to see this boy at socials so he can continue to build on his social skills while his humans learn to become fluent in K9 lingo. INATD is very blessed to have awesome past and present clients volunteering their time to help other community K9 parents #INATD... #brisbanedogtrainer #dogsocials See more

21.01.2022 I hate computers, I hate IT. Just had a 5 minute hissy fit now to stay calm and wait for the geeks to come out and fix my computer. Then I will have to work tonight to get things done. Bla need chocolate and caffeine fix. Hows your day going?

20.01.2022 Orrr sweet Freddie the choc Labradoodle had an outdoor social session today with some older K9s. Little man did so well, with big mama Lexi, my Ryda boy and handsome Cosmo the standard Poodle. I get high on teaching K9 lingo then just seeing dogs being just dogs. #INATD #brisbanedogtrainer

19.01.2022 Apologies to everyone that has sent me an email or message and is waiting on me getting back to them I promise I will get to everyone tomorrow. Between work today I had to hike all the way to Albany creek to take my old boy Darcy to the eye specialist and he ended up having a little procedure as for the past 12 months he has been getting constant superficial eye ulcers and they clear up for 2-3 weeks then they are back again and the little buggers can be very painful. Hopeful...ly the procedure burr keratotomy will settle everything down as it does have a high success rate ( so praying ) Yes the old boy has bladder cancer at at 16yrs 7 months we decided not to treat it and to keep him as comfortable as possible. 2 weeks ago he became really sick and I was preparing to euthanise him 31st August but no he turned around and picked up. I will do whatever needs to be done to make sure my old boy is as pain free as can be. My Darcy is a real trooper, cant believe he is still here but I am counting my blessings everyday that he is. #INATD See more

19.01.2022 Apologies to all current clients. I have sent everyone a text message cancelling all training and puppy socials for tomorrow ( Saturday ) but I am doubling up on Facebook in case anyone does not or says did not receive a message. Been a tough 5 days with 3 consecutive days of vet appointments and daily treatment for my old boy Darcy. I would like to thank each and every current client for your under standing and compassion at this time. I am just hoping this is just another b...ullet my old boy can dodge to give us a little more time . Please I ask everyone not to place any comments on this post. Please do not send me any text messages unless you are a current client needing confirmation on your class or private sessions. Thank you again Blessings Zigrid See more

19.01.2022 What a beautiful start to our family day. Caught up with one of the nicest humans I know and his K9s gorgeous girl Winter and handsome Milo the choc Lab who was just amazing with Darcy. Darcy was wagging his tail happily to be out and about with these 3. These labs came through our puppy program 9 years ago and we have been friends ever since.... Darcy is such a trooper where he got his spring in his step today I dont know but it was so heart warming to see. #INATD #brisbanedogtrainer See more

18.01.2022 After a roller coaster of a ride past 7 days looks like old boy Darcy may have just dodged another bullet. Just made it through after having severe gut issues due to all the pain relief he has been on lately. This time last week he looked like his body was shutting down he was lifeless, 3 vet visits with 2 days on fluids. On Saturday It look like he was not showing any signs of getting better and I was preparing for the end. Obviously his time is not up yet and apart fr...om a gurgley tummy and not eating too much he is now back to where he was 10 days ago. I am so relieved he is still here but I am not looking forward to the roller coaster of all the emotional pain that I will have to go through again. Poor boy still has eye ulcers that come and go and they are painful along with what it seems some optic nerve pain which we are managing to keep him comfortable. Darcy is 16.1/2 and was also diagnosed with bladder cancer in May. We know there is not much time but then again didnt expect him to still be here now. So I still need to spend my time with him and so will be continuing to work minimum hrs. I cannot thank Rydas best buddy Gidgets K9 parents enough for their support taking care of darcy when I do work and cooking him up special meals( he seems to have gone off my cooking ) Also to all my amazing clients for their understanding and compassion at this time. It was so difficult for me to cancel puppy classes and socials as I know how crucial the first few months are to get it right. But I will make sure absolutely every pup gets back and stays on track especially with their social and life skills. Classes will resume back this weekend and I have awesome humans arranged to come and keep Darcy company and take care of him. Darcy is the last of my Beagle family and we have a very unique bond. #INATD #brisbanedogtrainer See more

17.01.2022 Just wanting to say thank you to every single K9 parent and families that I have seen over this weekend. You are all wonderful human beings for following through the practices that have needed to be put in place again at this time with Covid 19. For me very difficult to have to ask then see children wearing face masks. Sad times at the moment but lets keeping looking out for each other while trying to keep life as normal as possible. Stay healthy and safe everyone.... Blessings Zigrid See more

15.01.2022 Wow I managed to get a couple of hrs me time today for the first time in 16 weeks. I heard of this great little book store Avid reader in Westend. You dont see many book stores like this one anymore so I think I have found myself another go to place for quiet time. Had a mooch around the store and picked out a variety of books. Found a little coffee shop for coffee and cake and started my reading.... Will only take me a couple of weeks to read this selection then I will pass them on. #INATD #brisbane See more

15.01.2022 And all of a sudden we are back to this face masks After a Covid 19 alert this morning we put this straight place. All clients this weekend will be provided with a face mask due to the short notice. I am a pretty hard core human but I have to say Covid 19 has got to me and find myself getting easily emotional. The thought of seeing anyone get this whether I know them or not I find heart breaking and hearing about so many deaths.... I cant thank my clients enough for following through are Covid 19 procedures no questions asked. #INATD #Brisbanedogtrainer See more

13.01.2022 Yay another 2 awesome K9 parents graduated today Freddie and Rosie the Lab. Unfortunately Susie ended up having to be the coach for Rosie as she was completely obsessed with me. Lucky for Rosie her K9 dad is just so calm and cruisy with her. Both Freddie and Rosie are fantastic really happy optimist dogs . 5 star clients, 5 star K9 parents = happy pups = happy K9 coaches.

13.01.2022 Little Zoe has a K9 companion at home and they get on well. Little Zoe is a very reserved little girl and can be reactive on lead when seeing other dogs. Once I interpreted her body language to her K9 parent the bigger picture became so much clearer. Little Zoe actually does everything to avoid other dogs and she was great around Ryda boy in her session today just communicating that she just wanted to mind her own business and keep the peace. We need to remember that dogs are... communicating all the time even from a distance, this is why absolutely every K9 parent needs to learn K9 lingo so they can listen in on the conversations and only butt in if and when required. #INATD #brisbanedogtrainer See more

13.01.2022 OMG meet Sweet Milo who is one of Susies student pups. Well I got to do a home visit to him today just to give his wonderful K9 parent some tips and peace of mind in regards to house set up etc. Milo is one calm pup and his K9 parent literally has put his life on pause to get it right with his best mate. I love it when humans are 100% committed to the whole process of training and setting their pup up for success. As we do this though it can become over whelming at times so ...we need to make sure we have a balance. At INATD I teach K9 parents how to implement training In everyday life so you dont feel like your training at all. Absolutely loved this session. #INATD #brisbanedogtrainer See more

12.01.2022 Big mama Lexi you are a true gem. Little zoe and missy are very fearful around other dogs and Zoe reactive. Had a awesome session today with Lexi making sure these 2 littles ones could learn to become more comfortable around dogs. Zoe and missy give very clear signals and do mind their own business. It is so important for humans to learn K9 lingo and to make sure you absolutely never correct a dog that is reactive to another dog as this will only teach your dog that dogs are ...not good to be near as something bad happens to them. Zoe and Missy have beautiful K9 parents and are doing so well so I couldnt help myself but to invite them to come and hang out with me complimentary on some dog outings. These 2 will come out and hang out with Lexi and possibly Ryda over the next week. #INATD #brisbanedogtrainer See more

11.01.2022 Darcy boy is so well loved After not a good start to this morning our good friend came over to check In on him and brought over some freshly cooked BBQ steak that she got her partner to cook while she was at an appointment. He woofed it down with a wagging tail. Feeling so blessed to have beautiful humans around at this time. I am now in the kitchen cooking the boy up some grass fed beef steak for dinner.... And no there is no such thing as a spoilt dog only a dog that is getting his needs met See more

07.01.2022 Sweet Bambie is usually very reactive around other dogs. Her first session outdoors with me today and her K9 parent gave her a 8/10 for her wonderful behaviour around Ryda and general distractions in the environment. Looking forward to our next session. #INATD #brisbanedogtrainer

07.01.2022 When you say goodnight to your K9 buddy tonight take a moment and say a prayer for those that have just had to say goodbye to their loved one and for those that the time is coming closer. No matter how many goodbyes I sit in and support the family it never gets easier and I see it as an privalidge to be there for them.

01.01.2022 Well at INATD when it comes to education I dont muck around. Some of our training programs are now being scrapped and the ones we are keeping will be in packages adding more value. I have never been a sheep, a follower and I am always thinking outside the box. Our number 1 priority is for K9 parents to want to learn and understand dog behaviour and body language, when this happens training your best buddy just becomes so much easier. K9 socials will be offered more often on... different days during the week. K9 socials will be open to none INATD clients and they will require to have an assessment first before attending. K9 socials are for K9 parents wanting to continue their education on K9 lingo and learn how to become the biggest motivator in their dogs life when off lead. Will let everyone know when the changes are complete and live on our website. See more

01.01.2022 wow wow Happy dancing I was left speechless ( unlike me I know ) with the awesome session this morning with sweet Molly and her K9 parents. Gave me goose bumps. #INATD... #brisbanedogtrainer #puppytraining See more
