21.01.2022 Trumpets and fanfare! Big changes are happening at Its Rawsome! Cafe. We are moving into a new direction. As the Sunshine Coast is now well situated with plenty of organic, raw, vegan, vegetarian cafes, restaurants and cooking classes we have been busy working on taking our business virtual and plan to travel while Susanna is completing her exciting range of cookbooks, yes there will be more than one! If you sign up to our email list now we will send you the details when they... launch. We will be documenting our travels and our love for this food and be giving you regular updates, videos and news. First stop on our new adventure is the fabulous Cocos Islands in the middle of the Indian ocean. Cocos is an amazing change for us and a place to recharge for the next phase of this journey of our life. We are very, very exited about this. We are planning on being there for a year, a great place for retreats which we are thinking of putting on. We loved our time with you all and made great friends, we will not forget you and look forward to you following us on our Journey. So unfortunately for all our cafe customers, we have closed our cafe here now. If someone is interested in opening a cafe or needs an equipped commercial kitchen, our beloved cafe is now available for sale with a great lease, at a very reasonable price. If interested contact us now. We know how hard good commercial kitchens are to come by on the coast, especially in such a great central location. The rent is also great. We are also planning a big sale at the cafe on upcoming weekends, stay tuned for the dates in the next few weeks and come on by, have a coffee, slice of cake, say goodbye and browse the goodies we cannot take with us! These amazing tomatoes are grown by wonderful people who believe in what they do and produce the best tomatoes and cucumbers I have had since I came home to Australia. They are losing the farm, people make decisions that cut out the little guys and force things down to the lowest common denominator - Price. Large food corporations make business decisions here that put people like these out of business by controlling how food is bought and sold and by wh...om. Think about it when you buy your food because eventually there will be no little guys to balance out the food supply. Ask your vendors where it is grown and by whom, if they can't answer that question then think about it. You cannot always know the farmer but it is a start to plant that seed in them that you care about where your food comes from. Think about it... See more
