16.01.2022 When little Miss 4 has better Blokus strategy than you do. "I am going to block you.... block you both and then win." I like that confidence, what a champ!

14.01.2022 . "Child at Heart" has been a long time passion of mine and so I am very excited to finally be able to start sharing some of the gems I have gathered along the way. The Child at Heart project will be a collection of reflective articles sharing the lessons I have learned for myself as an educator given the difficult but rewarding task of supporting families in the raising of their beloved children. ... I will be sharing that partnership in all its failings, victories, lessons, truth and blessing. Stay tuned! See more

08.01.2022 {THE BEING RESET} Be Patient We often forget to stop and fully appreciate the difficult task that has been placed in our hands as parents. We strive to grow independent and confident adults, while manoeuvring the minefield of tantrums, tears, screams and lots of no ways. Take the time to pull appreciate the lessons you will learn as you take on this precious task and be patient with yourself. You won't have all the answers straight away.... Be patient with your little one. Although you must set boundaries and limits, negative behaviours are often the symptoms of children's milestones. While confronting the teachable moments that guide children into taking instead of screaming, accepting situations they don't agree with, we must be patient and sensitive to their lack of filter. Everything is so drama for the kiddies, but stay strong! They will learn, I promise. It's easy to be patient if you can try and avoid comparing your child to others. You are your own little family, with your own little quirks, genes and personalities that make up your child. While there are universal behaviours and expectations we should have of our child, not everyone is cut into the same mould. Be patient. See more

07.01.2022 ... and isn't that just the truth! As we head into the weekend, may the simple truth of the joy that we get from those happy faces help us press on through the tantrums and wall painting!
