24.01.2022 FEDERAL GOVT APPROVES KIMBERLEY REOPENING Durack MP Melissa Price has confirmed the Federal Government has approved the request to reopen the Kimberley on Frid...ay 5th June. She says Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt has signed off on the request to lift the biosecurity laws that were used to lock down the region in March. It means people from within WA will be able to travel to the Kimberley from midnight Thursday. A spokesperson from Minister Hunts office said the biosecurity laws will be lifted on Friday, based on a recommendation from the WA Government and advice from the Commonwealth Chief Medical Officer. It's not just the Kimberley affected - the inland desert areas shown below will also be opened up, although Aboriginal communities remain off-limits. What will the reopening mean for you?

16.01.2022 Exciting news! Finally you can sit under the mango trees! Ivanhoe cafe will still be only offering takeaway service, however now you have the ability to eat under the mango trees in the seating area provided. This great news comes with some guidelines that we all hope you can follow and respect. - First: is to please only sit down if there are chairs available, if there are no chairs available it means the 20 person restriction has been reached and you cannot sit in that are...a. - Second: please sit at the tables and chairs provided, no picnics will be allowed unfortunately at this time - Third: We also have some hygiene measures in place so we can properly protect you as our customer and keep you safe. We have a White stick and Red stick system in place. If the white stick is shown it means it is alright and the table has been sanitised, so you can sit down safely. If the red is showing it means it needs some 'sani' instead. So please either find another table that has been sanitised or let a staff member know the table needs sanitation. Thank you all for the support, and cant wait to see you under the mango trees!
