24.01.2022 Recently the NSW Government announced a brand new addition to the masterplan for Ivanhoe Estate: a co-educational school for 1,000 students. Frasers Property and Sydney Catholic Schools are now working closely together to plan for this new school a great sign for the future of Macquarie Park. As the Member for Ryde, Victor Dominello puts it, Ivanhoe is not only about housing. It is a community plus an excellent school. It is a community plus beautiful open green space. It is a community plus tailored support. #IvanhoeEstate #MacquariePark

22.01.2022 NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) has been working with the Aspire consortium (Frasers Property Australia, Citta Property Group and Mission Australia Housing) on the transformation of the 8.2 hectare Ivanhoe Estate site on the corner of Herring Road and Epping Road in Macquarie Park. Ivanhoe will be first and foremost a community for everyone, providing a range of housing options, community facilities and services to cater for all residents. It comes from a belief that ...as our cities grow, we need a new way of living together, looking after each other, and connecting to all the things that are important in life; like education, community, transport, shops, services and outdoor spaces. After hearing feedback from the local community, other stakeholders, and conducting further studies, we have now lodged our Master Plan with the Department of Planning and Environment. As of today, this plan is available to view here: http://www.majorprojects.planning.nsw.gov.au/index.pl This Facebook page has been set up to keep the community updated as our plans for Ivanhoe Estate develop, to hear feedback and talk about ideas. 17.01.2022 After hearing feedback from the local community, other stakeholders, and conducting further studies, we have lodged our Master Plan with the Department of Planning and Environment. We would like to thank everyone who has provided us with their knowledge of the site and aspirations for its future as they helped inform the Master Plan. The Department is now assessing the Master Plan and as part of this process it is now on exhibition until Wednesday 9 May 2018. 11.01.2022 I was delighted to be at the Ivanhoe Estate this morning with my colleague Victor Dominello to announce that demolition work has commenced on the biggest social... and affordable housing renewal development in Australia. The new $2.2 billion estate will include a co-educational vertical school for 1000 students, managed by Sydney Catholic Schools, two childcare centres, a 120-bed residential aged care home, shops and recreational facilities. Communities Plus will deliver up to 23,500 new and replacement social and affordable housing dwellings and up to 40,000 private homes over the next 10 years across NSW. Other major sites include Waterloo, Arncliffe, Telopea, Riverwood, Redfern and Villawood.

06.01.2022 As some will have noticed, initial site establishment works have commenced. These include the removal of vacant buildings for the construction of the Sales & Display Centre. The centre will be open to everyone to get information about the new development and community programs. As these works are being undertaken by NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC), they have been approved under a separate process to the Master Plan. Works are expected to take 15 weeks in total, so completion is expected end of July. #IvanhoeEstate #MacquariePark

01.01.2022 We would like to thank everyone who contributed to submissions and feedback on the Master Plan that was exhibited by the Department of Planning last in 2018. As a result of the feedback received, the Master Plan has now been updated. Some of the changes include increasing the amount of open space, expanding the bushland setting along Epping Road and Shrimptons Creek, and changing the height of some buildings.
