25.01.2022 This job is finally almost complete. The concrete was badly placed with numerous waves in the concrete of 15-20mm. The concrete itself is well less than 25mpa and the wet placed concrete further weakened by the addition of water to 'help' finishing? I fail to see the need for 100+slump concrete. It is simply lazy. The clients will comment when the builder has finished his scope and the dust has settled. I won't be recommending the builder. Cough.. person charging exorbitant rates for organising crap tradies and taking no responsibility for challenging workmanship dramas.

22.01.2022 The next concrete polishing job is a retro fit and began today. Plenty of cracks to disappear

19.01.2022 Time for some benchtops. High strength light weight high performance. In BotanyTime for some benchtops. High strength light weight high performance. In Botany

17.01.2022 Next one on the agenda. Sydney sw, no where to stay here so I'll do an alnighter and head back to Canberra for a sleep. The glue is almost of this one.. Previously Krispy Kreme with lino. Anyhow tallyho.

16.01.2022 I flipped out these couple of benchtops today.

16.01.2022 Retro fitting home, what a lovely idea. Day 1. The stones began to show their true beauty. Just a standard concrete floor previously covered with carpet(the dust mite paradise).

15.01.2022 Well it does get hot in Canberra. Particularly when the job is ummm breaking rocks in the sun. So glad to be backfilling... Gravity helps A LOT!

15.01.2022 The boxes are the benchtop forms. I used glass to get the best 'off form' concrete density and finish. This will be a no grind finish.

15.01.2022 Hopefully the last night of work in Sydney tough am expecting a big night and day of edge grinding with an exrta being the removal of epoxy resin from the floor of the wet areas. Not looking forward to that at all. The floor looks like this. There is no stone exposure as you can see. The floor is 'topped' with a cement topping from 30mm to zero so the variation leaves shapes and some pateenering adding character.

14.01.2022 On the way to Sydney yesterday my phone hardly stopped. More polished concrete and a rising damp job in Yass. So glad that life may be returning to normal. Lucky with the borders opening Adelaide will be on the agenda very soon.

13.01.2022 Today I deformed and installed these couple of benchtops and the waterfall ends... Huge days now just some edge work to do.

13.01.2022 Bedroom 1 just needs some edge work and a final buff. This floor was not purpose built for polished concrete and not really flat though it is almost flat now.

13.01.2022 Today I started another little waterproofing job. This, another rising damp problem is common to Canberra. A waterproofing membrane will be applied to below ground bricks. Also siloxane will be applied to the above ground bricks to repel water from the mortar lines.... And a few bricks to move out back one pallet to go

12.01.2022 For those of you who don't know, my avatar(online presence) is Onc_artisan. Around 5600 forum posts- homeone and 500 plus photos on Photobucket. I am also known as Creative1 Hope everyone is feeling well and full of energy on this full moon night.

08.01.2022 I found myself in the trenches today. Lucky no live firing. A liquid applied waterproofing apron will be added on Thursday weather permitting. The bricks are part of a nib wall and as you can see they were not core filled.. And were the problem. They are now.

05.01.2022 Another rising damp job complete.

04.01.2022 3000 grit old fashioned polished concrete. No sealer to make it shine or wear off.

02.01.2022 Another sunrise and another few hours and I'll be done and ready to head home.
