22.01.2022 The whole workcover system is corrupt. Workers who are injured at work in any State, Territory or Federally are Australians, often with families. Time these cor...rupt stakeholders are held accountable, and legislation introduced to outlaw the ripping off of Injured Workers and their families rights to compensation or services, either medical or household, when they are at their most vulnerable. 17.01.2022 Because there are so many stories that we haven’t heard, and it’s in those stories that we find the truth. Too many injured workers are scared of the consequences of speaking out. Worksafe and the agents rely on disempowerment of the victims, which in turn denies them a voice.

15.01.2022 It is almost 25 years. November 1996, since the Kennett Liberal State Government removed psychiatric impairment from a physical injury. Making it a secondary injury and removing it from a Physical injury impairment claim. This concept has spread to all other States and Territories throughout Australia. Designed as a cost cutting exercise. In doing so this allows Workcover agents to freely use mental stress as a weapon to terminate claims and harassing injured workers, in a bid for these struggling injured workers to throw in the towel. Knowing this action has no consequences as the legislation currently stands. This treatment of injured workers has been highlighted by the Victorian Ombudsman's 2019 report into the Workcover Agents treatment of injured workers with serious/ complex claims.

13.01.2022 Workplace bullying can involve much more than the Victorian WorkCover legislation alone. Victoria’s anti-bullying legislation, known as Brodie’s Law, commenced in June 2011 and made serious bullying a crime punishable by up to 10 years in jail. 12.01.2022 This article is centred on Comcare - but we see the exact same treatment for Injured Workers on WorkCover. Dodgy IMEs, doctor shopping, falsified reports. It's all there, and it's all aiming to make life as difficult as possible for injured workers.

02.01.2022 We need action not words. Everyday Injured Workers and their families are being victimised for being Injured at work, trying to support their families. Time to make everyone accountable for their actions when assessing Injured workers through the Workcover system.
