25.01.2022 Today is International Workers Memorial Day. Join us, and some special guests, as we pay our respects to workers killed in the workplace over the past year. Ev...ery worker deserves to come home safely at the end of the day, and on this day we pledge to remember the dead and fight like hell for the living. Current circumstances preclude us from being together on this day of remembrance, but we are together in spirit and in solidarity as we conduct this years ceremony online. 14.01.2022 "Supermarket giant and one of Australias largest employers Woolworths has been accused of "a form of wage theft" after it revealed it underpaid nearly 6000 of its employees as much as $300 million." "Chief executive Brad Banducci said the company was "deeply sorry" for the underpayments and noted the executive teams bonuses would be reviewed. Last financial year, Mr Banducci earned $4 million in bonuses on top of his $2.66 million salary." The only reason the company is sor...ry is because they were caught practising business as usual!
