A congratulations should also to Benjamin Anderson for winning the Burnett William Wendorff Memorial Prize for Classical Piano. 14.01.2022 The UQ Chamber Singers are delighted to announce Dominic Retschlag as our incoming director for 2020. Dominic has been a member of the ensemble since its creati...on. An experienced rehearsal accompanist and choral singer, Dominic holds a dual degree in music and arts from the University of Queensland and is presently completing postgraduate studies in musicology. We are proud to have one of our own singers stepping forward and are immensely excited to see where Dom leads the ensemble in 2020. A very hearty welcome to our new director! See more

09.01.2022 The UQ School of Music of Music had the privilege of presenting, 'Eumeralla, a war requiem at peace' at QPAC in October this year. Composer Deborah Cheetham AO ...created this work to amplify the importance of our nation’s shared history. This was a choral and symphonic music on a grand scale. In this video our Head of School Professor Liam Viney and Deborah Cheetham AO reflect on the importance of all Australians to contemplate our history and the role music has in the reconciliation process.
