05.01.2022 Doing the detailing on a current project invariably leads to revisiting the detailing on a previous project - re-using, adapting, improving. This is a detail we love from our recent Burkenberg House - the two layers of stone, used to create a thicker benchtop, are beveled back in toward one another so they appear more like a single layer of stone which has just been profiled. Where the stone returns up as the splashback, the top edge has a second piece layered behind, creatin...g a step for fingers to pull on the bottom edge of mirrored cupboard doors above. : @j_kidman : @dc_building : @rhitaylor : @sunnioverend
