24.01.2022 All ready for racing here at the 2020 Townsville Cup. Should be a good weekend

23.01.2022 Lol.. Jordan Van

21.01.2022 New year, new beginnings Huge thanks to Serpent Racing Team Australia and Argus motors for taking us onboard this year. After 6 years of Jordan racing a Mugen, it was sad to say goodbye though this is the first time Jordan has driven a different platform and we are pretty excited. A big thanks to everyone that has helped us along the way so far and we hope we have your support with the new car.

21.01.2022 All ready for the first round of practice at the Australian titles here in Melbourne

19.01.2022 We made the long drive down to Logan last weekend to attend the first round of the QLD state titles. I ran both the Serpent SRX8Pro and the SRX8ePro for the event. I struggled a little bit during the practice session due to not driving much lately as well as learning the track and getting the right lines but had it all down pack ready for qualifying. My electric class was a bit hit and miss with the new car and the best I could do was to qualify in 5th for the B Main. I drov...e fairly well in the first two of the triple mains though had to pull out of the last one early to get ready for my nitro main. In Nitro, I came out flying and the car felt awesome. I still lacked a bit of consistency though I was able to qualify in 5th for the A Main. The 45 minute A main didn’t start off as I expected and fatigue got the better of me. I made a lot of mistakes and had a flame out which left me at the rear of the field. I persisted and starting putting in some good laps to fight my way back to finish 9th overall. Overall it was an awesome weekend albeit a tiring one. Both cars felt awesome and performed great for the event. Huge thanks to Bruce Nitschke and Tammie Nitschke for accommodating us for the weekend as well the Meakin club for putting on an awesome event. 18.01.2022 We are already to go for the first round of the Qld titles. Fingers crossed for a good day.

16.01.2022 Huge thanks to RC MAKER and XTR oils for jumping onboard this year and assisting us with some good quality shock/diff oils as well as other lubricants and greases. We have tested these quite a bit lately and so far have found them to long lasting, durable and very cost effective.

15.01.2022 We made the trip over to Rockhampton last weekend to participate in the annual Rocky cup where I would race my Nitro Buggy. I had a bit of a rough time in qualifying on the Saturday due to not being able to practice since my last event and chasing a good setup for the track. I tried my best but could only manage to qualify 11th which put me into pole position for the B main. I had a rough start in the B main but managed to get into 2nd position which was where I would finish.... This enabled me to bump into the A Main in 12th position. The track came up awesome for the A main and I had a really good start. I made my way up to 5th position and settled there for a fair chunk of the race though with about 8 minutes to go, I had a rear tire come unglued and wasn't able to hold the position. I did my best to keep control of the car though I had a couple crashes and could only manage to finish in 8th place. Overall it was a good weekend and awesome experience. Huge thanks to Anthony Gaunt and all the Rocky club for all of their work to put together an awesome layout and event. Also congrats to Dean Ross on his surprising results coming out of Retirement I’d like to thank my sponsors Serpent Racing Team Australia Argus Engine Racers Edge Australia MAXIMA Fuel AAA RC Supplies TKO RC Bearings JKRacing

13.01.2022 Dean Ross showed he’s still got what it takes to wheel a Nitro Truggy at the Rocky Cup. A win First race back from retirement, not a bad start!!

08.01.2022 We made the trip down to Brisbane last week to attend the 2nd round of Speedy unofficial QLD state titles. I drove both the Serpent SRX8Pro and the SRX8ePro for the event. Practice went really well and the cars felt awesome with the oiled track having heaps of grip. We did make a few setup changes to both of my cars though they both seemed to be on point and ready for the qualifiers. I had a lot of rough runs with no consistency in both classes through the qualifying and was... only able to qualify 4th in the B main for nitro and 13th in the EP A main. I took it fairly easy in the nitro class for the B main and stayed inside the bump positions even with the engine richening up with the cooler air. I was only lapping slowly but still bumped into the A Main. The triple A Mains for Ep buggy class was awesome and I had a ball racing in the fast and competitive class. I was able to move up and finish in 10th overall. The Nitro A main was very eventful but unlucky for me I blew an exhaust gasket early on and was struggling to put down fast laps. I couldn’t make any of the larger jumps and had to roll them though with a few cars braking out, I was able to nurse the car through to the end and move up to 7th overall. Overall it was a great event and the club did an awesome job to fit the whole event into 1 day. It takes a lot of effort to drive 12 hours each way to and from the event and it’s hard to keep the consistency and speed up especially for the finals. Huge thanks to dad for making the effort to get me to these events. Finally, I’d like to say a big thanks to my sponsors for helping to keep me on the track: Serpent Racing Team Australia Argus Engine Racers Edge Australia AAA RC Supplies TKO RC Bearings JKRacing RC MAKER

08.01.2022 Thanks very much to Ashley Ross from ROSSI 3D Designs for helping us out with a couple of these shock and diff stands. These things are awesome. If you would like one of these, head over to his page and let him know.

06.01.2022 Last weekend we attended the 2020 Australia State Titles held in Melbourne. I knew it wasn’t going to be an easy weekend with me not having much track time and also only having one practice session under my belt with the new chassis and motor due to all the wet weather we had leading up to the event though I knew I would try my best. I was off to a rough start in qualifying due to a wheel coming off in the first qualifier as well as having a lot of trouble getting to know the... car and the track. The rest of the qualifying went fairly well though my consistency wasn’t that good. This cost me a fair bit and instead of making it straight into the semi’s, the best I could do was the pole position in the quarters. I started in the pole position for the even quarter finals and had a fairly clean start though dropped back to 3rd in the first lap. I managed to make my way back to the front of the field and was holding my position until about halfway through the final when my wing starting falling off. We got this repaired and I went back out in 9th position. I managed to put down some consistent laps and made it back up to finish in 3rd putting me 13th position for the semi even finals. It was a pretty consistent run in the semis jumping all the way up to 7th and fighting for 6th the whole race though with 5th place breaking, I was pushed up to 6th and stayed there for the rest of the race. Coming 6th put me in 12th position for the A main. I had chosen the wrong tire for the A main and struggled to control the car around the track. With a few other problems developing, i decided to pull outta the race and could only manage 15th position. Overall I really enjoyed the weekend even though dad was running around all over the place managing the event. The club put on a really good event and the track was really fun to drive. The Serpent was a different experience though I really need a lot more time with it. Thanks to everyone that turned up for making it an awesome weekend and thank you to my sponsors for all their support and keeping me on the track.
