18.01.2022 Thank to WARC for giving us the opportunity of a fundraising . And big shout out to the helpers, and of course our sausage eaters . We raised $245.85. This is equivalent to 7 sets of much needed fins for our players. Thank you .

17.01.2022 Due to schools carols by candlelight in 10 Dec. EOY wrap up and awards for underwater hockey and hand over to Adam will be brought forward to Thursday 3rd December. 5 pm Kakadu Aurora lodge.

16.01.2022 Tasmania has announced competition dates: 3rd-8th April 2021 at The Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre. As a previous Tasmanian I can speak to the amazing competitions Tasmania runs (including most recently a junior worlds). The Pool is one of the best if not the best in Australia. Please note given the current fluctuating cases in Australia there is always a disclaimer on any interstate travel in the future and risks to competitions. The TUHA (Tasmanian Underwater Hockey As...sociation) have put a call out for anyone able to help volunteer during the event. Email: [email protected] As for Queensland athletes its time to kick into gear that’s only 5 months or 60 swim sessions away! Coaches will be planning training weekends towards December and February. We have had many lovely coaches volunteer their valuable time again and some new faces, however we are on the hunt for an U15’s coach! Please contact the below coaches to express your interest for trialling for a squad. There will be one Junior manager and adults will be expected to appoint their own team manager. UWH World Championship’s Gold Coast 2021 POSTPONED Due to the current climate with international travel, there will be an international meeting at the end of November which will likely announce the competitions postponement to 2023. The competition will remain on the Gold Coast in the future so keep an eye out for developments! Financial Grants A timely reminder to all clubs to apply for state funded grants that regularly come up online: https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/sports/funding Gold Coast and Morayfield were successful in obtaining a lump sum of money to help assist regenerating the club post COVID re: equipment/pool hire etc. These grants can be done online and take roughly 30minutes to complete. I highly recommend club officials monitor the site and apply when able. They listened during warm up, the skill of curling and executed these during the game by playing as a team and supporting eachother. So ask your child that played what they did well in and what they want to improve in. Ps girls rule.

08.01.2022 Bunbury UWH Club in Western Australia extends an invitation for UWH players to register for their 2021 Bunbury Brawl. This social competition will run Friday 15th January, 4pm to Sunday 17th January, 4pm. There will be junior and senior mixed divisions along with single men's and women's game being played on saturday and sunday.Teams will be made up by Bunbury UWH club prior to tournament with an emphasis on keeping an even mix of skills/experience across divisions.
