He is one of our many players who have played the majority or their career at Craigieburn, before joining Jacana. Every Coach loves to have a player like Deano in the side. He’s honest, hard working, and committed. Dean is a great role model for our younger players, both on and off the field. As such, he’s been rewarded as a member of our leadership group for 2021.

14.01.2022 COMMITTED FOR SEASON 2021 COREY SOUTTER Corey is another former Craigieburn player who has committed to the Jags for 2021. He is big and strong and possesses terrific closing speed. This was clearly evident in our match day simulation drills at training and in the practice matches, prior to covid. Corey will most likely play in the back half and utilise these strengths to shut down opposition forwards. He is also very accurate by foot.

He shows tremendous leadership for a 20 year old. He’s embraced our culture and is dedicated to improving himself and those around him. Robbie has been elevated to our leadership group and has been earmarked as a future club captain in the coming years. He is super fit and is usually first home on our middle distance runs. Keep an eye out for Robbie and his long blonde locks next season.

03.01.2022 Good morning fellow Jacana supporters, hope you’re all well and enjoying the weekend. Just a quick update as to where we are at the moment. We are still waiting for the EDFL and Hume City Council to authorise the commencement of our preseason training at Jacana Reserve. Our players are primed and ready to go and are eagerly awaiting this announcement. All new players of all skill levels are most welcome to join us once training starts again. We are hosting the Oak Park Footba...ll Club in Round One of the 2021 season on Saturday April 10. This will also be our Past Players day, incorporating the 1980 and 2000 Premiership reunions. Further details will be advised in due course so remember to keep the date free. We’ll be announcing the details of our AGM very soon. We always welcome new blood on the committee. Get in touch with us if you would like to be involved. Please continue to support all of our sponsors, in particular our major sponsor, the Broadmeadows Sporting Club who once again open for business. Sit on the deck and enjoy the views of the valley. They have the best Parma and coldest beers in the district. Feel free to drop into the Jacana Cricket Club over the summer and have a beer with Ollie and the boys. They are flying at the moment with 9 men’s teams and the possibility of extending that to 11 men’s teams. Thanks everyone, keep an eye on our page for further updates and announcements. Stay safe and well. GO JAGUARS!!

01.01.2022 Happy New Year to all of our fellow Jacanaians. We hope you had a Merry Christmas and are keeping safe and well during this time. The 2021 Season promises to be huge for our club as we make our long awaited return after the cancellation of the 2020 season due to the corona virus. Pre Season training will resume in mid to late January for all of our teams. All new players of all skill levels are welcome to join us. Dates and times will be advised shortly. There were good num...bers on the training track before Christmas, however we’re looking to rapidly increase this as Round One for our footballers is now less than 100 days away!! We also had a very positive response from our players partners with our ambition to start a netball program within our club. If your partner, sister, aunt etc is interested in playing social netball for the Jaguars in the EDFL competition, please get in contact with us. Membership fees will be more affordable than mid-week netball. Players of all ages and skill levels are most welcome to join us. There will be a flyer uploaded with further information on our page very soon. Details of our AGM and social events will also be announced shortly. We always welcome new people with new ideas onto our committee. It’s great to have footy and netball right around the corner!! Let’s go Jaguars See more
