25.01.2022 TELEHEALTH CONSULTATIONS CHANGES Government funding for telephone and telehealth consultations have been reduced from the 1st October. Many GP practices across the country are changing to private billing phone consults for those not on a HCC or under 16years old. This is to sustain the practice and the costs of the business to ensure it is able to continue to run. From Monday 19th October, Jacaranda Family Practice will have to private bill telehealth consults (same cost as ...a face to face appointment and the rebate from the Government if you have attended our practice in the last 12 months). We still encourage people to use telehealth consults where they can to limit non- essential contact to protect against the spread of COVID-19. Face to face appointments are available if necessary and we request you bring and wear a mask on the premises, hand sanitise on arrival, follow social distancing rules of 1.5m gap between other people. Book face to face appointments by calling us to answer screening questions, HotDocs online booking will permit you to book telephone consults. The COVID-19 worldwide situation causes multiple, complex, varied issues and our practice is working to the best of our ability to care for you safely and keep our business sustained to be able to do this.

16.01.2022 *JFP UPDATE* With the change in restrictions due to the Northern Beaches Covid-19 cases, Jacaranda Family Practice would like to keep all our patients safe. We shall we be advising only essential travel and promoting telephone consultations unless unable to. If you have a face to face consult, consider changing this to telephone consult. If it cannot be changed, please bring and wear your own mask, hand sanitise and keep 1.5m distancing. If you have been to the Northern Beaches area in the last 10days, please call us for further advice and a telephone consultation.
