21.01.2022 DAY 5 JACA THURSDAY Today we spent the day in the main drag of Grafton, starting with the 2GF Breakfast in Markwt Square! We walked up and down Prince Street seeing all of the amazing market stalls and businesses getting the the spirit of Jacaranda! We watched performances from some of the local businesses and had a Meet and Greet at JACA HQ! Then to finish the morning off, we made our way back to Market Square to judge the Fancy Dress Competition!... #jaca85 #jacathursday

19.01.2022 JACARANDA QUEEN CROWNING Wow! What a wonderful night! The Grafton Jacaranda Festival held an amazing night filled with tradition!... Congratulations to Junior Jacaranda Queen Bridgett Jamieson, Junior Jacaranda Princess Sahara Powell and all of the Junior Jacaranda Queen Candidates! You have all come so far and should be so proud of what you have achieved. Congratulations to Jacaranda Queen Ashton Blackadder, Jacaranda Princess Dana McKew and to my fellow members of the 2019 Jacaranda Queens Party, Ashleigh, Hayley and Holly! You have all done yourself proud and I couldn’t have asked for a better group to have gone through this experience with! I would like to thank my sponsor, Rotary Club of Grafton Midday! 17.01.2022 Day 2 could not have been better! We started the day at Rathgar Lodge Ulmarra, were I got to meet a friend’s mum! Then it was off to Hall Prior Grafton. We had a wonderful morning with students, teachers and carers of the Grafton High School Special Unit! It all fun and games at Jacaranda Pre-School before heading to the Jacaranda Embroidery Group at the Cathedral Parish Centre. This year, they show-cased all over 85 years of embroidery from the Clarence Valley. Then a fantas...tic afternoon at the Jacaranda Afternoon Tea! Filled with wonderful people and delicious food, the Jacaranda Afternoon Tea is certainly a highlight. The night ended with a BBQ with Grafton Rotary! #jaca85

14.01.2022 Day 1 was so much fun! Starting with a beautiful service at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, we then followed with rockin’ time at BCU Retrofest! We also had the pleasure of seeing the amazing craftsmanship at the N.R Woodworkers Association Exhibition! We ended the day with a church service at the Cathedral Church. Can’t wait to see what today has install for us!... #jaca85

I also would like to thank my family and friends for their support in my journey! ... 07.01.2022 DAY 3 & DAY 4 Tuesday and Wednesday were full of excitement! Tuesday was a full day of visiting people in the valley. Starting at the GDSC Women’s Bowling Jaca Carnival, then we planted our Jacaranda Trees over at McKittrick Park! We then made our way over to the New School of Arts where we danced to ‘Baby Shark’! We made quick stops at the Inner Wheel Luncheon, Mid Coast Family Day Care and Bright Sparks Grafton. we spent sometime at Livingstone Whiddon Group and had aftern...oon tea at St Francis Aged Care. We had a quick stop at the Gem Club and then the Clarence Valley Ramblers BBQ! We ended the night at the Jacaranda Night of Film were we got to experience the history of Jacaranda! On Wednesday, we stopped in at the Grafton Handcraft Mimi Mart and the Festival of Flowers Opening at the Cathedral. We spent some time at Uniting Preschool (Jack & Jill) and Clarence Family Day Care, the we went to the Salvation Army Morning Tea. We also got to meet the gentleman at the U3A Men’s Shed and I got to show the Queen’s Party what the Rotary Club of Grafton Midday lunch looks like! Dougherty Villa put on an amazing Morning Tea and then we went and saw the residents at St Catherine’s Villa were I meet a lovely lady who danced in the very first Jacaranda Festival! We ended on a huge high at the 85th Anniversary Cocktail Evening were all Junior and Senior Queen’s Party received the prize packs! #jaca85
