25.01.2022 Meet Lucy..... When did you start at Jacaranda Grove? I started at Jacaranda at the beginning of 2019 How long have you worked in Early Childhood?... I have worked in early childhood for almost two years. What’s your favourite part of Early Childhood Education? I love the fact that I get to be a part of the children’s everyday lives and I can help them grow and develop their skills whilst nurturing their inquisitive nature. Each child is remarkable and different in their own way, so seeing their personalities develop is marvelous. What do you like to do on your days off? I absolutely love hanging out with my family and friends, I am very adventurous so I love motorbike riding, water skiing and going four wheel driving on the beach with friends. What do you love about working at Jacaranda Grove? I love that when I go to work I feel as though I’m at home, playing with my animals and talking to my friends and family. The opportunities for the children to go on adventures and grow is unlimited and to see the excitement in the children's eyes when they get to go on a bush walk and/or play with the farm animals makes me so joyful, that’s why Jacaranda is so unique!

24.01.2022 As they say beggars can’t be choosers...every year we have conducted our annual sheep shearing with the children, however this year I’ve struggled to get a shearer at all, when one called on Saturday morning and said he could shear the sheep today, for the sake of the sheep,I couldn’t say no! At least they will be nice and cool from now on!

14.01.2022 We made the most of some sunshine on Friday and headed out on a bush walk, for some, this was their very first walk, they were very excited! The recent rain left us some beautiful mud and everything was so lush and green! Only bad part was having to leave!

10.01.2022 Great educators make a great centre and here at Jacaranda we are so blessed to not only have such amazing, talented, inspired and motivated staff, but to have a team that truly enjoy working together! Stay tuned as over the next week or so we will take a closer look at the faces behind the names!

09.01.2022 Meet Jamee..... When did you start at Jacaranda Grove? 2017, when I started my traineeship.... How long have you worked in Early Childhood? This is my third year! What’s your favourite part of ECE? Every day brings something different... Never a boring day, only new adventures! I love the fact that I can have such a huge impact on these children's lives. I am pleased to say I have had the pleasure to watch children from 2 years old to transitioning to school and that I was given the opportunity to assist and support those children throughout their years here. Making your children smile and laugh is my favourite! What do you like to do on your days off? As much as I plan to relax or have a quiet day it never ends up like that. I generally find myself ending up at Kmart or Bunnings spending enough time there planning all the new resources I can make that would probably last a year! What do you love about working at Jacaranda Grove? The opportunities are endless here, not only for the children? but the educators. I learn something new everyday and generally it is from the child. I love that I can walk outside and see the children running, climbing, digging and interacting with animals at any time and not to mention how easy it is to pack a bag and head out to spend hours in the bush. Oh, and the amazing educators I get to work along side with!

09.01.2022 Meet Sonya..... When did you start at Jacaranda Grove? I first started at Jacaranda Grove in January 2004 working full time until I had my first child Angus in 2014. I returned in 2015 for 12 moths before having my second child Milla in 2016. I have so gratefully returned now in 2020, working Mondays and Wednesdays. ... How long have you worked in early childhood? I have worked in early childhood for the past 16 years. What’s your favourite part of early childhood? My favourite part of early childhood is the bonds formed with the children and families that attend the centre. It is a privilege to have such an impact on each child's development and witnessing them grow and develop into such amazing unique little individuals. Seeing a child explore, create and shine brings endless happiness to everyone. Let’s not forget when a child’s face lights up when they master new tasks or tell you a story nothing can beat that. What do you like to do on your days off? On my days off I love spending it with my husband Luke and two children Angus and Milla. We enjoy going camping with our friends and renovating our home. What do you love about working at Jacaranda? I love being part of a team that is filled with such passionate, dedicated and caring educators that uplift each other and are so supportive. It is an honour to be part of such an amazing and unique childhood setting like no other, that allows for such personal and natural learning experiences. I love the strong bonds and relationships that are formed with the children and the families that attend the centre and becoming such a major part in their child’s growth and development.

08.01.2022 Happy Father’s Day to all our wonderful dads, hope you had a fantastic day!! Happy Father’s Day to all our wonderful dads, hope you had a fantastic day!!

07.01.2022 It’s certainly a bittersweet time of year, there’s so much excitement yet a little sadness as we say goodbye to our beautiful children heading off to ‘big school’. It was a pleasure to take many of our school leavers on one last bush walk. Early childhood is a time when children develop friendships, many of these I’m sure will last into adulthood, thanks to all our families for allowing us to be a part of your children’s journey.

05.01.2022 Holiday program has begun!

04.01.2022 Well to say our little orphan calf Henry is loved is an understatement, since arriving at Preschool 14 months ago we simply fell in love! He has been such a wonderful addition to our farmyard and the children adored giving him pats. However his sheer size and weight are now a little too risky for our children, so today Henry has moved to his new forever home with his calf mates Duke and Vinnie! (Aka Sheree’s place) We look forward to seeing some new additions to our farmyard for 2021.... watch this space!

01.01.2022 Who needs a classroom or pencil and paper to learn some maths? On today’s bush walk the children discovered a new fork in a tree which was perfect height to make some human scales! We spent almost an hour trying out new sticks to see which ones worked best, some too thin would snap, some too long, some were too short and they couldn’t get hold, but there were some that were just right. We discussed weight, length, height, balance, patience, cooperation, and kindness ( by lifting our friends when they couldn’t reach)! If they say laughter is the best medicine, our Preschoolers will be healthy children!
