24.01.2022 Well after the long season layoff where racing finished in September in 2019 the motor racing drought was broken with the 55th Anniversary celebration meeting at Wakefield Park. Fun seemed to be had by all 64 entrants across 3 events as well as many people from the past reconnecting with mates from long ago. Firstly congratulations to the committee of the FVANSW for pushing forward with the event, the end result proving what a great weekend it was and showing that... 55 WAS something to celebrate. Great for Wakefield to have faith in us with this event with the huge number of entries, licences and practice number showing faith repaid. It was great to see the young guys of 40- 50 years ago reconnecting with the class they made many friends with in the regularity event and just for a weekend remembering their youth again. Congrats to John Fab for not only helping push the event along but provide much memorabilia for display. Congrats to Daniel Reynolds for a blistering return, the former multiple national champion showing the pace we all have known in the past. Commiserations on the little drama that took him out of the lead. That problem was Jacers benefit by filling the podium in both Sunday races which were won by another multiple national champion Michael Kinsella, his win in the last race also earning him the Alan Harrison cup. From Jacers side it was busy with 3 drivers in 2 cars meaning that from Friday onwards we had to have a car running for every on track Formula Vee event, 1200, 1600 and regularity. Thanks to JC, Mark McHenry, Big Al for somehow co ordinating all that to work. Great to have former National and state champion Tim Brook and thumbs up for 2 wins from 3 starts in DCs Spectre wiping those Newcastle 86 memories away. Great to have another former national and state champion in Adam Proctor back in Effie for the weekend. She proved a little difficult over the weekend with a few little dramas for him. Congrats to Greg Hepburn for finally driving a 1600 vee for the first time after all the work in the early 2000s getting it through. Congrats for the old mans parade lap, his first time on track for over 35 years, thanks John McDonald. Thanks to Gary Ogden for offering the use of his car for Trevor Carmody to run in regularity to replace the one that fell apart on Friday. Commiserations to all who werent there and missed out, better set you sights on 60! Many more tales to tell in time but for now time to focus on Rnd 1 of the MRC at SMSP early April. Going by the weekend the racing will be a cracker! See more

23.01.2022 Entries for the 55th birthday celebration meeting close tomorrow so if you havent entered times running out, dont be one of those " I wish I hadda done that" people. There has been a bit of discussion for a few narrow minded people of the validity of the event. Thankfully they have been shouted down by the 56 entries so far including 22 1600 vees which is well up on last years average. The event is not only a ra...ce meet but is meeting to say thanks to all the various committees over the last 55 years that havent screwed things up to enable us to still be here, to say thanks to all the competitors who got off their arse and got involved and gave us grids. Thanks to all the people who bought/ made cars early on also giving opportunity for people in years to come to not only become part of the cars history but to have a pathway into the sport also. Its a chance for the past to say gday to the present for many young guys from 40 plus years ago to come back as older guy and see what the class they first got involved in is up to now and for the current guys to see what sort of things some of these blokes used to race. Its a rarity in Australian motorsport to have anything with a continuous 55 year history and something to celebrate. If you havent done so already enter, dont be a " I wish I hadda " people and enter one of the 3 classes of racing Vees have on offer and become part of history. See more

Many histories are incomplete thats where the Jacer owners come in. Feel free to contact us with your chassis number and log book ownership list to help complete the picture. Any updates may not appear daily but they will eventually.

09.01.2022 OK. Questions for Jacer owners. I'm trying to track the first owners of F2K9-57, F2K10-62, F2K10-63, F2K10-64, F2K10-65. Trying to update the chassis list in the spare time I don't have being the reason for the question. Two of those went to Andy Goodall, 1 became his Supavee which would probably be 63 and 64 or 64 and 65. 57 was the chassis before Michael Kinsella's car, 62 onwards were after the Bruce/ Mat Pearce car. 62-65 were the last of the model before chassis 66 Effie. Were 26 yrs old this year so thought it might be time to tidy this stuff up, also given the need for cars for new people there may be some cash to be made if there sitting un used.
