15.01.2022 We do realise this is a article. But you can take our word for it, there was *good news* out of Oz publishing in 2020 over the holiday-period. 'While the observation by several publishers that the fiction and children’s categories performed strongest does apply to much of 2020the two categories experienced growth of 13.6% and 9.6% respectively for the year overall, compared to nonfiction’s more modest 4% growthnonfiction certainly came to the fore at Christmas. Data from the last four weeks of the year to Christmas show the category actually grew by more than fiction or children’s when compared to Christmas 2019. Nonfiction sales of $97.8 million were up 13.9% on 2019, while fiction was up 12.8% and kids/YA category was up 9.6%.'
