24.01.2022 Belinda and Brett talking to 7 news tonight in the wake of another tragic death from knife violence in Surfers Paradise #jackbeasleyfoundation

24.01.2022 Today would have been Jacko’s 19th birthday. While every day with out him is hard for Jack’s family and friends, its the special occasions like today that are especially hard as what would normally be a happy day celebrating his birthday is now one of the saddest days of the year since he was tragically taken away. Please join us at 7pm tonight (qld time) and light a candle, raise a glass and spare a moment in memory of Jacko

23.01.2022 Belinda, Brett and Sam O’Connor MP talking to channel 9 this afternoon around what needs to change in relation to youth law reforms and knife crime which is currently out of control. #jackbeasleyfoundation #changeisneeded

22.01.2022 This needs to happen ASAP and the police need to be given more power to search people in the party precinct and hot spots.

21.01.2022 Still a few tickets left for Saturday night’s Trivia night.

21.01.2022 Ben Findlay is the Chappy at Pacific Pines State High School (previously at Upper Coomera State College). Over the summer break he has chosen the challenge of ...pushing a wheelbarrow of stones from Noosa Heads to the Arundel Tavern... 7 days, 216km, 45 hours of planned walking. He is raising money for two local groups that are near to his heart - the Jack Beasley Foundation and Karate Gold Coast by tomorrow. If you would like to encourage him in his (somewhat) crazy endeavours please feel free to donate here:- https://www.gofundme.com/f/push-4-purpose-karate-gold-coast https://www.gofundme.com/f/push-4-purpose-jack-beasley-foun Follow Ben’s journey on his FB page People with Impact (and Karma points on offer for donating or sharing the post ).

18.01.2022 The 3rd Annual Ray Warwick Memorial Golf Day on Friday 4th December 2020 at Parkwood Golf Course. This year, the organisers have been kind enough to be donating the proceeds to the Jack Beasley Foundation. To be part of this awesome day, please follow the link below to book and feel free to share this to help them make the day a great success.

17.01.2022 Today was really special. We committed to taking the first step to bring in new laws to stop knife crime. A couple of months ago I introduced Parkwood family ...the Beasleys to LNP Leader Deb Frecklington MP. They told her the story of the devastating loss of their 17 year old son Jack. He was stabbed to death in the middle of Surfers Paradise in the busy holiday period last December. They told her about the changes they wanted to see. It had a big impact on Deb. She pulled me aside before leaving the meeting and told me if she becomes Premier she would do everything she can to help this family make change. Today her comment to me became a firm election commitment. We made the announcement standing with Brett, Belinda and the Foundation’s Chair Wayne at the club Jack played at from when he was 5 years old, on the field named in his honour after he was killed. If the LNP wins government later this month, we’ll ask the Queensland Law Reform Commission to look into new laws to put a stop to what we’re seeing far too often across our city. We want to give our police the powers they need to detect more people carrying knives as weapons. We want to see these stronger stop and search powers in known hotspots like Surfers Paradise. Changes to the law alone won’t fix this. We need a shift in the culture. The Jack Beasley Foundation are putting together an education program to stop young people carrying knives. The Gold Coast Bulletin today reported that 5 out of the 9 murders we’ve seen on the Gold Coast in the past year were carried out with knives. All of the alleged offenders in those cases were under the age of 21. This needs to stop. I’ve seen the Beasleys go through an unimaginable amount of pain this year. I am proud to stand with them to do everything we can to make sure no one else has to experience that. Jack would have turned 18 this year. He’ll never have another birthday but the changes we will make in his name will mean Jack’s legacy will live longer than his tragically short life.

17.01.2022 Wishing everyone a happy new year and a safe and prosperous 2021.

16.01.2022 On the first anniversary of Jack Beasley's tragic death in #SurfersParadise, his parents are speaking out in a bid to blunt knife crime in Queensland. #9News | Weeknights at 5.30pm

16.01.2022 Jack Beasley lost his life far too young. He should have celebrated his 18th birthday in April. Instead he was killed in a random knife attack at Surfers Parad...ise late last year. We've seen a spate of knife crime recently, particularly on the Gold Coast. We can't let senseless crimes like this continue and see heartbroken families like Brett and Belinda left to pick up the pieces. Today I announced a commitment to ask the Queensland Law Reform Commission to look at new laws to tackle knife crime. We want to see increased stop and search powers for police. We want to target hot spots and take action. Together with the Jack Beasley Foundation we want to see tougher laws and a targeted education campaign to stop youths from carrying knives. The message to young people is clear - they shouldn't put lives at risk. Sam O'Connor MP Kirsten Jackson - LNP for Gaven

15.01.2022 The Opposition leader Deb Frecklington MP has called for stricter laws on knife crime today in a press conference with the Beasley family who lost their son in ...a stabbing on the Gold Coast. These types of attacks at up 40 per cent state-wide. Senseless knife crime has to stop. www.7NEWS.com.au #qldpol #7NEWS

10.01.2022 The thing about doing the job I do is you never know what each day will bring. And who will touch your heart. Today it came from an unexpected source. A Harley...-riding biker, who carried the ashes of his son in a bear as he rode from the Gold Coast to Veresdale and back today. Brett Beasley's son, Jack had his life cut short at the age of 17 years, in a senseless act of violence, on 13 December 2019. In the face of devastation and grief, the Beasley family formed the Jack Beasley Foundation, an organisation dedicated to making changes to the current youth laws, youth safety and putting together an education platform to teach the country’s youths about the dangers, repercussions and snowball effect a single act of violence like this to one person has on the lives of so many. Brett Beasley is a strong bloke. Less than a year after the death of his youngest son, he has been able to make a real difference by forming this Foundation in Jack's name. I'm reminded of my own family's grief when my brother died suddenly at the age of 24 - I doubt we could have done the same, we were numbed by our grief. When I ask Brett how he finds the strength to do this, he says it is what keeps him going. "If I wasn't doing this I'd be a mess," he said. He keeps busy during the time we are at the Veresdale Hotel. I offer to take some photos when they leave and he tells me about the bear that contains Jack's ashes. He carries it in a pouch against his chest on the ride. When they are getting ready to leave, I watch Brett strap the pouch on and I think it is one of the saddest things I've ever seen. No parent should experience this loss. I snap a shot of Brett about to get on his Harley Davidson and while I don't think I'm much of a photographer, I think it captures his resilience, strength and the sadness. For more information visit jackbeasleyfoundation.org, like their Facebook page or read our article in the upcoming Beaudesert Bulletin on 14th August 2020.

09.01.2022 Walk 4 Jack is still on, breakfast from 8am, walk at 9am

09.01.2022 It’s almost impossible to even go close to understanding the logic behind this decision from the magistrate. If your on bail on a serious charge and you breach bail conditions several times yet don’t even get a slap on the wrist, just bailed again. There is a massive problem with our judicial system in Queensland. #outrageous #justiceforJack #changeisneeded
