25.01.2022 Hi everyone another short clip today

24.01.2022 Re: The Jack Hort Memorial Indoor Pool/Coronavirus Dear pool patrons and the broader Healesville community As you would be aware, a significant number of measures relating to Coronavirus containment have been announced. The measures in place are intended to protect the health of community members and to contribute to efforts across the community to contain and slow the spread of the virus.... In line with those measures I have decided, with regret, to close the Jack Hort Memorial Indoor Pool from 8.00pm this evening. The pool will initially close for the period March 18-April 19 inclusive with further decisions at a later time about whether that closure period will be extended. Our priority at this time is, and must be, the health and safety of our pool users and staff members and I thank you for your understanding. Kind regards Allan Rennick Principal Healesville High School

24.01.2022 All fenced around the building and ready to commence work.

22.01.2022 Hi everyone we were going to increase our Aqua class numbers as of Monday 22nd June. This is no longer possible due to the state government announcement today Saturday 20 June. Groups must be capped at 10 people until 12th July. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

20.01.2022 Hello everyone, the Victorian Schools Building Authority has appointed a new project Manager who came onsite last week. We then received a copy of the feasibility study which had a number of options for us to consider. The VSBA is currently tendering for an Architect so we can begin the building works as soon as possible. The works will consist of rectification and compliance issues of the pool building and plant room upgrade.

17.01.2022 Hi everyone we have a number of builders so interest in the our construction project. The tenders close on November 2nd and the successful tender announced on 10th November. The work to be completed is roof replacement, rusting steel columns replaced, North, East and West windows replaced, water treatment equipment replaced. We have other works which we wish to undertake, those will depend on what is left over from the initial works that need to be completed.

17.01.2022 Hello All Our tenders closed on Monday 2nd November with 5 construction companies submitting applications for the work. The staff and myself have been busy removing equipment from the building and placing it in storage. The pool hall, change rooms, store rooms and plant room have all been emptied with the office left to be finished. ... We should know who the successful tender is next week, with work to commence almost immediately.

16.01.2022 Hi Everybody its finally started, the builder has been selected and work begins on Monday 23rd November. Thank you the Healesville High School, S.H.I.P and Tony Smith for making this happen. We apologies for the timing of the works but it is unavoidable. With the year it has been we look forward to re opening in February 2021. I will update our progress as we start on this new journey.

16.01.2022 Its not just us that has suspend services, a number of other pools are closing as well. Maroondah Councils pools close today, so if you want to have swim try Aqua Hub or Aqua Nation. I would suggest that you call first as circumstances with Aquatic Centers are changing rapidly.

16.01.2022 Hi Everyone or phones have gone down, if you need to call us please ring 0418 317 077.

15.01.2022 Stopped in at the pool this morning and all looks surreal. Plenty happening, particularly now that the foyer doors and windows removed. The entrance doors are to be automated for easy access for patrons with a disability. I also noticed that they have begun to expose the steel columns on the change room side of the building which are to be replaced.

13.01.2022 Good Morning All We have had a small delay with the tender process, we will keep you informed of its progress.

13.01.2022 I need to clear up some information about the pools operational status. We are currently open providing our normal services. We will continue to do so until otherwise instructed. It is true that some our regular groups have made a decision to suspend their programs. Yarra Valley Community Health Gentle Exercise Group, Healesville Swimming Club and some of the Primary Schools are amongst these. We encourage all pool users to make decisions based on their families needs and well-being. Please if you are unwell don't come to the pool and seek medical advice.

12.01.2022 Hi everyone I hope you are all well. After this Friday the 27th March I am having time off for the next few weeks so I wont be responding to emails or Facebook enquirers. I will respond once I return. Thanks Ross and stay safe.

The next announcement is on June 22 from the State Government so things may change again. We have run eight Aqua Classes since we have re opened with the maximum set at 10 participants. Thank you for your patience's and understanding during these times. Please remember to call on 5962 2709 to book lap swimming or a Aqua Class.

06.01.2022 On this day 30th March 1990, Bob Hawke was PM, Sinead O'Connor had the Number 1 single and the VFL became the AFL. But most importantly the Healesville Indoor Pool was opened. Yes thats right today is its 30th Bithday, thanks to Rotary, Lions Club and the Local community for its construction. For without there efforts the pool would not have been built. Thanks to everyone who has been involved with our community pool over the journey, stay safe and well. We look forward to seeing you when are able to re-open.

05.01.2022 Hi everyone it has been a challenging start up for us, but we have made it through week one. 04.01.2022 Hi everyone as no doubt you have already heard the news today that we are back to stage 3 restrictions. The pool will close tomorrow evening Wednesday 8th June for up to six weeks. We are trying to bring our renovation program forward so we can take advantage of the situation. So if you want to swim ring and book for tomorrow. Thanks Ross

02.01.2022 There is some serious demolition happening at the moment, the steel columns on the change room side are be exposed for replacement. As I have said before you won't see where the majority of the money is being spent. We need to rectify a number of problems that will extend the life of our pool for the community. The pool hall lights have been removed to make way for LED lighting panels and thre painters have started to re-coat the main steel beams over the pool.
