25.01.2022 CLINIC HOLIDAYS! The clinic will be closed while I am taking a break. I will be spending time with family and friends and recharging my batteries. I will check phone messages and emails very sporadically, and will only respond if the matter is urgent. If you are reading this and I am away, and would like to book in, please book online. There is a book online button at the top of this page. I look forward to seeing you all refreshed and ready for a happy and healthy 2021!

25.01.2022 ANXIETY: we all know breathing can help anxiety. Sometimes it is not enough. Tapping into your senses can help. Here is a simple breathing/sensory exercise to help with anxiety. It can be done quickly and discretely almost anywhere. Its a great one to teach anxious kids too. I tried it yesterday as part of my morning meditation, and it helped to keep me focused. https://ideas.ted.com/mind-going-a-million-miles-a-minute/

24.01.2022 Miss 8: Mommy, I was thinking (serious voice) Me: Ye-es? (wondering what on earth is coming!) Miss 8: I think we have this virus to teach us something Me: oh what do you think it will teach us? Miss 8: Patience... Yes! There are so many things we can learn from this experience. Slowing down is definitely one for me. What are some silver linings/learnings for you? Let us know in the comments. Stay well and safe.

24.01.2022 SUNDAY FUN! Let us know in the comments what you saw first. I am amazed by the power of the mind. I saw a goat first, but I think that is because I saw the word goat, so my mind was looking for a goat. With no heading I am sure I would have seen the bird first. Pretty clever either way!

24.01.2022 SILVER LININGS?! The recent toilet paper frenzy had Mom on a trip down memory lane. She was a child in London during WWII. Mom can remember times when they could not get toilet paper. They cut up squares of newspaper and hung them on a string next to the toilet. She hated it then. The thought is not appealing now you know, newsprint on your nether regions, newsprint on your hands. Ugh! I am not sure how the pipes would go with it either. We tried to find a silver lining. It was hard! We got there in the endWe would know for sure if Miss 8 had washed her hands well after each trip to the toilet! (Miss 8 will NOT be amused I have said this, so no telling please!!) I am hoping we dont get to that. In the meantime, lets be moderate in our shopping for toilet paper.

24.01.2022 Autumn is here, and while it doesnt feel like summer is over, I see the leaves on the Plane trees are changing colour. If you have a tendency to low vitamin D, now is a good time to get it tested. If you do not have good levels now at the end of summer, they are not going to get any better through autumn and winter. Vitamin D is important for good mood, the immune system, and bone health. If you have any concerns in any of these areas, I suggest getting yours tested soon.

23.01.2022 I stumbled across this today. It is very relevant right now. I have definitely stressed a fair bit over the last few weeks as we adjust to a new way of being. Navigating home schooling. Juggling work. Worrying about keeping Mom safe. Worrying about finances. The list goes on. Sleep was poor for a couple of weeks. Like most people, I do my best worrying in the middle of the night! Most of my worries were things I have no control over. Slowly I am adjusting. Last night my sleep was better. I am choosing now to breathe and trust that everything will work out. How are you going? Let us know in the comments.

23.01.2022 I like this! It can be really helpful to consider what our feelings are trying to tell us, and then to act accordingly, rather than either trying to push through, or suppress the feeling. The more we can learn to respond to feelings and emotions, rather than react, the easier it is to deal with them and move on. Being able to do so is great for our health and well-being too. I think it is a handy little chart to help kids to create a tool kit of strategies to identify tri...ggers, and manage and work through big feelings. The main thing I have felt today is tired. Poor Miss 9 was up much of the night vomiting. It came on suddenly, and the poor thing did not even have time to get to the bathroom. I did a lot of cleaning and washing today. Fingers crossed she is much better tomorrow, and no one else gets it. Have a great week everyone! See more

23.01.2022 RANT ALERT! I dont often rant on facebook, but Coles has annoyed me on 2 counts, so here I go ONE! What is with these ridiculous stickeez? At a time when reducing plastic use, and reducing plastic sitting in land-fill is a thing, why-oh-why is Coles making more plastic junk that will inevitably get binned? Apparently they can be returned to Coles to be recycled, but has anyone ever tried wresting random pieces of useless plastic toys from their kids in the name of savin...g the planet? I would be prepared to wager a bet that by the time your kids no longer want them, the recycling thing will be long over. And lets be honest, its unlikely everyone would make the effort to get them to the recycling. TWO! The Coles Fresh Challenge calls for 1 serve of protein. A day! Seriously?? Who created this? One serve of protein a day is not enough for anyone, let alone growing children. We should all be having a serve of protein with each main meal. Bring on the vege seedlings from Woolies that was a much better marketing gimmick. In my humble opinion. Rant overas you were! (and feel free to express your opinion in the comments below!)

23.01.2022 HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! I am privileged and proud to call this wonderful lady Mom. Mom is kind, caring, calm, has a great sense of humour, and always has a glass half full. She has been through much over the years, a lot of it health-related, and throughout it all, has remained cheerful, strong and positive. She is a true inspiration. I appreciate all she has taught me much of it intentionally, and when it comes to health, unintentionally! Mom’s first chapter of life was... spent in London during WWII. I don’t think she would ever have guessed one of her final chapters would include a pandemic! I am thankful for every day we get to spend together, and grateful I can care for her. Thanks Mom for being an awesome Mom and Granny. We love you. To all of you who are mothers, I hope that you have been able to enjoy the day together with loved ones. For those of you who find this a difficult day, I hope you are able to treasure some joyful memories in your heart. And if that is for whatever reason not possible, then to find a peaceful space that is yours and filled with your own beauty and love.

22.01.2022 Please check in with your loved ones and friends. So many people put on a very brave face to the world, while an internal struggle debilitates them behind the scenes. Please reach out if you are struggling. R U OK?

22.01.2022 For some of us, life is returning to some semblance of normal. For others life is still very much on its head. For us, Miss 9 has returned to school. Which means I have my normal work hours back, and as restrictions lift, I am able to see clients in clinic, and welcome back my reflexology clients. I felt very excited by both these changes, but I have to say there was still a period of adjusting to the changes again. I was surprised. I feel a little like a meerkat who ...went underground for a little while as I adjusted, and I have now popped my head back out to survey my world! As I reflect on all that has been over the last few months, I feel proud. When isolation started, social media was flooded with messages claiming you had to learn something new, declutter, and come out of this all with all these great things to show for it. I was swept along by this to start. I may have decluttered. A little. Like, one (small) wardrobe! Then the reality of the adjustments hit, and I realised that while for some, this was the perfect opportunity to do all those things, for me it was most definitely not. I did not emerge with a new skill, a decluttered house, or even a cleaner house. But I did learn to slow down, to go with the flow, to be more in the moment, and have more fun doing simple things. I realised I did not always need to be doing something constructive which would contribute to my success (and stress). I discovered that playing monopoly for hours with Miss 9 was a great investment of my time. We had fun. We connected. And Miss 9s mental maths improved significantly by being banker! Whatever lockdown looked like for you. Be proud. You may have nothing visual to show for it, but I believe that each and every one of us has grown in some way through the process. I know this journey will continue in some way, shape or form for many over the coming months. But we have all got this. As always, if you are struggling, please reach out. What do you think you got from lockdown so far? Let us know in the comments. See more

22.01.2022 My talented friend Joy Truscott creates beautiful meditations, some of which she has on the free meditation app, Insight Timer. One of them has been chosen as "staff pick" for the day - what compliment when there are 1000's of meditations on the app. If it appeals, have a listen, or just put it on and drift off to sleep with it. I have used Insight Timer for a few years now - so many meditations, all for free. Thank you Joy! http://insig.ht/gm_85460

22.01.2022 Out of adversity comes opportunity ~Benjamin Franklin Adversity is something that many of us will feel at many levels over the coming months. I decided yesterday to take Miss 8 out of school. My main concern is my mum, but I also want to do what I can to protect anyone who is more vulnerable, including the family of our teachers. So this week, I am in charge of the thought of the week, and this is the quote I gave Miss 8 for her diary. ... I have always said I would never want to homeschool. And here I am, homeschooling! Not only are we homeschooling, but because school is still officially on-going, we have no set programme to follow. I am winging it. A friend has sent me links to resources, and I have found a great fb group. Over the next week or so I will find my way in terms of homeschooling, balancing it with work and life in general. Miss 8 tells me her teachers are much better at teaching than me! So where is the opportunity? To be honest, when I made my decision, part of me felt like it would be fun, and part of me wanted to sit in the corner and cry! The opportunity is to have more time connecting and having fun. Time to create some amazing memories, and for us both to look back at this historic time, and remember the really good parts the simple fun we had at home. I will have to slow down to make this work, and that can only be a good thing, albeit it foreign to me. I will have to do what are only the most important things for work. I will need to work more efficiently and effectively. I imagine I will find I actually have a lot more time than I thought. In terms of schooling, we are going to be doing the basics in terms of English and maths. For the rest we are going to learn new skills. I will teach Miss 8 to cook, knit and sew. We will play board games more (monopoly will teach her maths, as well as entrepreneurial skills!). We will plan a holiday, which I am sure will cover geography and some other stuff. We have made a timetable based on her school timetable. As I type this Miss 8 is doing sport she is swimming. I know there will be challenging moments, and I will hear cries of I am bored. But it is also an opportunity for newfound creativity, and learning in many different ways. At the end of this I am sure there will also be a newfound appreciation of schoolfrom both of us! Let me know your suggestions for homeschooling in the comments, or your adversities right now.

22.01.2022 VERUCAS! (plantar warts) A while ago, Miss 8 had a thing in her foot. It started off as what looked like a splinter. She would not let me anywhere near it to remove the splinter, so we left it. In time I realised it was not a splinter, but a veruca (ugh!), and by then, a great big one at that! I looked up various natural remedies, and decided to try apple cider vinegar applied twice daily. After a couple of weeks the veruca was looking very red and angry, so I decided ...to try a plan B. I chatted to my wonderful aromatherapist friend, and she suggested I try this gentle essential oil, also known as childrens tea tree. We applied a drop twice daily, and Miss 7 just sat for a couple of minutes afterwards to let it absorb. We did not cover it. Look at the result after a few weeks! The veruca simply shrank and disappeared. I was delighted, especially having read the warnings on the stuff you can get at the pharmacy to treat them. I wish I had known about this when I was younger, as I had a couple on my feet and had them burnt off, a painful exercise! Have you or your children had verucas? What remedies worked for you? See more

22.01.2022 SUNDAY FUN! I have been promising Miss 8 (almost 9!) that we can camp in the garden for ages. Tonight is the night! We are sleeping in the tent outside. Miss 8 is super-excited. Me, not quite so much! I know I will miss the comfort of my bed. However, I am loving her excitement and the pleasure she is getting from doing this together. I just wish that I had a firepit/similar so that we could make it more real and toast marshmallows. Oh well, another time perhaps. What have you been up to this long weekend?

21.01.2022 Wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and peaceful 2021. May it be a more sensible year for everyone! If Christmas is a difficult time for you, I hope you find peace and calm. If you are struggling, please reach out for help and support. I have finished work in my clinic for the year, and am looking forward to some fun and relaxation with my family and friends. I will be back in my clinic, batteries recharged, on January 19th...I look forward to seeing you then!

21.01.2022 SUNDAY FUN! I really hate kale, and this made me laugh! Is kale a delicious vege for you, or a great replacement for the all elusive toilet paper? Let us know in the comments. While I have your attention, can I please ask you to have a quick read of the post pinned to the top of my page and like it so that more people see it - I would really appreciate it. Thank you :)

21.01.2022 Miss 8 is in year 4, and has a diary for school. They use it mainly to record their daily reading, and note any homework that needs doing. Once a week, their teacher gives them an inspirational quote to write in their diary. I love that he does this. Miss 8 makes a point of bringing it to show e each week. This weeks is: A JOURNEY OF A THOUSAND MILES BEGINS WITH A SINGLE STEP. I have always loved this quote. So often the hardest thing to do is to start, and then to j...ust keep taking single steps. Some goals and tasks can seem all too overwhelming. We want the final outcome, but feel so daunted at the journey, that we fail to start. Or if we stop for a rest, we dont take another step. For me, starting can be a very real challenge, especially when I get all perfectionist about things. I remind myself that one step forward takes me closer to what I want to achieve. Do you have a goal, big or small, that you struggle to start on, or struggle to keep taking steps on? Let us know in the comments.

20.01.2022 I am in the midst of writing a blog about the current virus concerns and what I am doing to protect my family as best I can. My Mom is elderly (80), immune compromised, and with respiratory conditions, so she is considered at high risk should she contract the current virus. One simple thing we do to avoid the spread of any infections, is that we all have separate tubes of toothpaste. Think about itwe all brush our teeth within a couple of hours of each other, and wipe the... toothpaste tube across our toothbrush, which we then put straight in our mouth. We also keep our toothbrushes apart so that they dont get up-close-and-personal with each other, damp bristles snugged together, sharing germs! Its a simple thing, but a thing we do in our house with an immune-compromised person. Will you start using separate toothpaste tubes now? Let us know in the comments. See more

20.01.2022 We are going through a time of great uncertainty. The uncertainty will continue in various ways for some time. They will vary from will I get toilet paper to will I earn enough money, and we will all have different uncertainties. I have had moments of stress. Moments of sadness. I have come to realise that the main thing that drives my stress is uncertainty. I do not have control over many factors, but I have realised that if I make clear decisions over what I can contr...ol, I feel better. I may look back in hindsight and think I made the wrong decision, but for now, the decisions I make are working for me e.g. do I send my child to school, do I see clients in clinic or online. The things over which I have no control, I am trying to let go of. The more certainty I can create, the more comfortable I am. There is no certainty over whether I will get this virus or not. But I am certain that if I maintain my health, and my immune system, then I have every chance of beating it. This is a perfect time to improve your health, by getting the foundations in place, and find better ways of coping with stress. There is room for all of us to improve these things me included. Find as many certainties as you can. Reach out for help if you need help to get there. And know with certainty that this too shall pass. With every challenge comes the opportunity for growth. Stay safe and well. See more

20.01.2022 Did you know? Magnesium deficiency can be both a cause and consequence of stress and insomnia. In addition to this, 40% of Australians dont get enough dietary magnesium, and a whopping 70% are deficient in magnesium. Magnesium helps so many other things mood, cramps, hormones, and so the list goes on. Our soils are pretty lacking in it too, hence the statistics above. It is one of my favourite minerals! If you are stressed or not sleeping well, or both, you definitely ...need a magnesium supplement for a while. There are many different forms of magnesium, and it is best to seek the advice of a professional to get the right magnesium for you. For example, magnesium oxide is a great laxative, but is not going to help with your mood much! As always, the quality of a supplement also makes a big difference. The supermarket or online brand may be cheaper, but in these cases, you get what you pay for. If you would like to have a chat about how I can help you with your stress and sleep, please call me on 0431917728, or email me [email protected]

19.01.2022 YES to this! This is something I really have learnt the hard way. I still constantly need to remind myself, and dont always get it right. Today the weather here in Perth is miserable, with a big storm of the decade apparently heading our way. We have had plenty of time off, and Miss 9 and I have enjoyed playing ludo, and making muesli bars, cooked apple and rice pudding (apparently I need to give her more food at school, and her lunches are boring!). What have you done to relax today? Let us know in the comments.

18.01.2022 HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! For those of you who find this a difficult day, I hope you are able to treasure some joyful memories in your heart. And if that is for whatever reason not possible, then to find a peaceful space that is yours and filled with your own beauty and love.

18.01.2022 With the current virus concerns (not to mention the lack of toilet paper!), I am mindful of keeping calm. I believe that should I or my daughter contract the virus, that we will be fine. My concern is my Mum and any other at-risk people. My Mum, who lives with me and whom I care for, is at high risk should she contract the virus. She ticks all the risk factors: age (80), immune-compromised (leukemia), and respiratory illness (bronchiectasis). I want to do everything in ...my power to keep my family well at this time, and reduce the risk of any of us bringing the virus home and passing it on to Mum, or anyone else at risk. This means keeping our immune systems in tip-top shape, and reducing the risk of human-to-human transmission. That also means I want to keep everyone who visits my clinic as safe as possible. Click here to read my blog on what we are doing to keep as healthy as possible. If you would like to get supplements to support your immune system at this time, and something to keep on hand to start taking at the first sign of any illness, please contact me. https://perthnaturopath.com.au//current-virus-concerns-im/

18.01.2022 Today is my Mom’s 81st birthday. Mom lives with a couple of chronic but fairly invisible health conditions. 5 years ago we were told to get her affairs in order. We luckily managed to survive that health scare, as we have a few before. I now view every day with Mom as a gift. Every birthday is a worthy celebration of her life and another year we have been able to share with her. Mom is strong, always cheerful and positive, and calm. She is a true inspiration. I am proud to call her Mom. Happy birthday Mom! I hope we can have the gift of another year, and another birthday celebration. We love you Mom/Granny!!

17.01.2022 I needed to read this, and I may well need to refer to it again in the weeks and months to come. Remember, we all are all going through big adjustments. Miss 8 is coming and asking for hugs more often than usual at the moment. We all need more hugs! Be kind to yourselves.

16.01.2022 Scottish Scientists say that a game of Monopoly is great for your brain. After studying more than 1000 people, the researchers found that folks who play board and card games score better in memory, overall thinking ability and problem-solving later in life. Time for a games night! What are your favourite board or card games? Let us know in the comments! We play quite a few including monopoly, rumikub, rummy, ludo, and a card game Miss 8 learnt at vacation care called Poo head!! I suspect the original name was less child-friendly!

15.01.2022 To all those who celebrate, HAPPY EASTER! I hope you have all had a lovely, fun day, despite it possibly being different to previous Easters. Our day has included an Easter egg hunt in the garden (as soon as it was light enough!), a walk, board and card games, a puzzle, hot cross buns and of course, chocolate. What have you done today? Let us know in the comments

15.01.2022 Miss 8: Mommy, I was thinking (serious voice) Me: Ye-es? (wondering what on earth is coming!) 15.01.2022 Do you believe things happen for a reason? Sometimes things happen, and it can feel like a bad thing, when in fact it is a good thing. Miss 9 went back to school this week, and I decided to prioritise a bit of time to myself before throwing myself back into work. Yesterday morning I hopped into my car to go to the beach and enjoy a walk. Something felt very wrong. I had a flat tyre! Believe it or not, mom’s car had a flat battery!! I was thinking, Seriously?!. I was... not going anywhere. Which felt a bit like déjà vu at the moment! I called the RAC to come and deal with the tyre and the battery. A big nail was responsible for the flat tyre, and I am so very grateful for that nail. It turns out that although I had plenty of tread left on my tyres, the back 2 tyres were cracking around the sides, and a disaster waiting to happen. Always look for the silver linings, or if there is no obvious reason for the bad, try to believe that it was saving you from some greater difficulty, even if it never becomes clear what it was. 15.01.2022 I loved this post by Suzanne Culberg this week. What small change can you make from tomorrow (and keep up consistently), that over time will make a big difference to your health, or even your life? Let us know in the comments.

13.01.2022 Today is my Moms 81st birthday. Mom lives with a couple of chronic but fairly invisible health conditions. 5 years ago we were told to get her affairs in order. 13.01.2022 LAST ORDERS for the year. PLEASE READ I will be placing my last orders for supplements on Tuesday 15th December. Please work out what you will need to get you through to at least 21st January 2020, and let me know as soon as possible. This includes compounded pyrrole supplements. I will be unavailable from Christmas until January 18th, and will not be available or able to order or supply anything. Thank you!

13.01.2022 IMPORTANT! Please read this to the end. Please can you also like the post, and comment, so that I can reach as many people as possible. Many thanks. I am mindful of keeping us all safe at the moment, and am also aware that things are evolving and changing daily. To that end, at the moment: APPOINTMENTS: - Appointments will continue as usual at this stage. ... - However, please do not attend if you feel unwell, have been overseas in the last 2 weeks, or have been in contact with anyone with the coronavirus. - I will take measures in clinic to keep everyone as safe as possible. - If you prefer, we can have an online video appointment (I use zoom which is like skype), or we can have a phone appointment. - If either you or I do land up in lock down, then we can have phone/online skype-type appointments. - I will be putting the kids toys away, so if you bring children, please bring toys with you. This is so important for everyone. I do not want any of you getting sick if I can possibly help it. While I know I would recover well should I become sick, I do not want to risk passing anything on to my mother who is high risk (80, immune-compromised, lung disease). SUPPLEMENTS: There are now significant delays with me receiving orders. Please do not leave it to the last minute to order supplements. I will try to keep well-stocked, but rather plan ahead, and get things a bit in advance. PYRROLE PRESCRIPTIONS: (if relevant to you) Please check what you have left, and get another prescription filled now if in doubt, as I would hate you to run out. SHOULD YOU GET SICK: I can offer you supplements and herbs that will support your immune system to do its job as effectively and as quickly as possible, as well as offer respiratory support. If you are unable to collect, or have someone collect supplements from outside my front door, I will do what I can to deliver to you where possible, or post to you. Please stay safe and well, and don't hesitate to be in touch if you have any concerns Jackie

13.01.2022 Miss 8 attended her first online birthday party today! Who would have thought she would be doing so just a few weeks ago?! The girls had fun, and shared lots of giggles. This infographic shows the 3 stages of response to a pandemic. It is quite normal (and very ok) to move between the stages, even doing so within one day. I definitely do. How are you doing? Please reach out if you are struggling or need a chat.

12.01.2022 One of the many benefits of a d-tox is shedding a few kgs. Your body is smart. It stores toxins in fat cells to protect you from their ill-effects. Your body can be reluctant to let go of those cells before they have been cleaned up a little bit, so a d-tox can be a great way to either kick-start releasing kgs, or to move past a plateau. One of my clients, whose focus is shedding kgs, did a 2-week d-tox with me. She shed 4kgs in 2 weeks! Plus a few centimetres off her wa...ist. Other benefits are more ENERGY, better SLEEP, a CLEAR MIND, better PRODUCTIVITY, and feeling LIGHTER. Of course, you will feel very virtuous too! You can take a look at my packages, or just chat to me at your next appointment so that we can decide was is most appropriate for you. https://perthnaturopath.com.au/packages/

11.01.2022 Today is my Mom’s 81st birthday.

10.01.2022 This week is all about immune health, and staying healthy. Washing hands is so simple, and yet so effective. The hardest part is trying to get kids to wash hands well and consistently. Try showing them this! I was amazed at the difference between hand-washing and the hand sanitiser. Keep washing your hands please! https://brightside.me//a-teacher-did-an-experiment-to-sh/

10.01.2022 REMINDER! Summer is here in full force in Perth. It is so important to stay well hydrated in this heat. So, this is my reminder to you to stay hydrated, and make sure you keep drinking enough water! Start the day with a couple of glasses of water, and carry a water bottle with you. Please make sure you use a stainless-steel water bottle. Plastic bottles are bad for us and the environment. Is drinking water easy or difficult for you? Let us know in the comments.

09.01.2022 Please check in with your loved ones and friends. So many people put on a very brave face to the world, while an internal struggle debilitates them behind the scenes. Please reach out if you are struggling. R U OK?

09.01.2022 YES to this! This is something I really have learnt the hard way. I still constantly need to remind myself, and don’t always get it right.

07.01.2022 I thought this was a good read. Let me know what you think in the comments. Go easy on yourselves, and give yourself time to adjust to the current changes. Stay well and safe everyone. https://www.chronicle.com//Why-You-Should-Ignore-A/248366

07.01.2022 I like this! See more

06.01.2022 Miss 8 attended her first online birthday party today!

05.01.2022 Do you believe things happen for a reason? Sometimes things happen, and it can feel like a bad thing, when in fact it is a good thing. Miss 9 went back to school this week, and I decided to prioritise a bit of time to myself before throwing myself back into work. Yesterday morning I hopped into my car to go to the beach and enjoy a walk. Something felt very wrong. I had a flat tyre! Believe it or not, moms car had a flat battery!! 05.01.2022 SUNDAY FUN!

04.01.2022 THANK YOU to the fairy who left this pack of toilet paper outside my front door today!! I really appreciate your generosity at this time, and it felt awesome just to know someone is thinking about me. Sharing is caring, and I felt cared for. I will definitely pay it forward in some way, be it toilet paper or something else. Thank you again. You made my day!

04.01.2022 Last week I had a visit from the toilet paper fairy. This week a friend had a dozen gluten free hot cross buns delivered to my front door. They were baked by a local business in Hillarys. Toasted and buttered, they were delicious with a cup of tea. The rest are in the freezer waiting for Easter. I am definitely feeling the love while isolating. I am so glad we are able to support local businesses too. I will absolutely order from this business again. They bake quite a range of gluten free products including bread and cakes. I will pop a link to their business in the comments a little later. Thank you to a very special friend.

04.01.2022 KEEP YOUR DOGS SAFE THIS EASTER. Did you know that while all that sugar can certainly make our kids a little crazy, CHOCOLATE is actually toxic to our dogs? A small amount can cause increased heart rate, vomiting, diarrhoea, seizures and even death. If you are interested in the complexities, it is something called theobromine in the caffeine of chocolate that is the problem for our canine friends. SULTANAS and RAISINS can contain a toxin that may cause kidney damage in do...gs too. If you are in the least bit concerned that your dog has eaten either, please get them to a vet immediately. To keep our dog safe, we start by leaving a note for the Easter Bunny, letting her know (in our house Easter Bunny is a girl, no arguments!) that we have a dog, and to please leave the eggs out of her reach. Apparently, she reads well and follows the instructions to a T! Please tag anyone you know who has dogs and may not know this. See more

02.01.2022 SUNDAY FUN! Let us know in the comments what you saw first. I am amazed by the power of the mind. I saw a goat first, but I think that is because I saw the word goat, so my mind was looking for a goat. With no heading I am sure I would have seen the bird first. Pretty clever either way!

01.01.2022 When Miss 8 and I were in Sydney in January, we climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge! It was amazing! It has long been on my bucket list. My first thought was uncertainty over whether Miss 8 would be able to do it. I checked the website, and kids of 8 and over a certain height can do it. She met the criteria. I showed her a couple of youtube videos, and she was all in! A friend said, just do it, you dont know when you will be there again. I am so glad I listened. Miss 8 was a bridge climbing champion, and loved it. We both did. To be honest, it is not difficult at all. My message is always believe in yourself. Always believe in others. Always give it a go. What adventures are on your bucket list? We may not be adventuring for a while, but we can always have a bucket list and dream.

01.01.2022 For the safety of all of us, all appointments will now be online or phone appointments. Over the next few days I will be in touch individually with everyone who has appointments booked. I do already see a number of out-of-area clients online, and it works well. I am also able to do phone appointments if you prefer. Stay safe and well everyone.

01.01.2022 We are going through a time of great uncertainty. See more
