21.01.2022 Quite often I get asked: Where have you been? Well, this is a little glimpse into what I have been doing. Recorded with my old Southern Sons buddy Reggie Bowman, The Vault Vol 1 is a collection of DEMOS. The performances are single takes warts and all. That said, I feel they give some great insights into the process, things that are usually hidden from view. During lockdown, I’ve done a lot of reflection and self-examination, and I’ve realised that holding back just doe...sn’t seem to work. 14.01.2022 Can you believe that we recorded that vocal in my bedroom studio with a $40 microphone? We used a coat hanger with a stocking stretched over it as a pop filter. Recorded straight to tape in one take. Mixed by Michael Brauer in New York. Jack was probably 20 years old then. - Phil Buckle
