20.01.2022 Most people would quite approve of the outcome of the Plastic Bag Ban as per this article on news.com.au page today. While most would be pleased with the reduction of waste plastic going to landfill, I am concerned that others will be pleased that they have honed their skills in manipulating our world.

20.01.2022 Whether native, visitor or settler, this person is well imbued with that great Australian sentiment that the rules don't apply him.

16.01.2022 Why do they do this ... because they know they can. They know that they can flout any relevant laws with impunity. They know that Christians, for the most part, are gentle and conservative people who will turn the other cheek. They know that politicians, with their lust for power, will turn a blind eye if they are of the right and will laud and encourage their bullying if they are of the left.

02.01.2022 A convergence of catastrophes ... COVID-19 and the culture of our countries' first people. Until, and even if, an effective and fast-acting vaccine is found to counter the coronavirus, most of us will be infected with this teasing disease that tickles some and kills others. It is not a matter of if we get but rather when. Even those who ride out the curve, whether high or flat, will remain susceptible for the rest of their days unless they have unknowingly had the disease an...d developed natural immunity. Of course, how will they know? Oh, the irony! I said the disease was a tease. Interestingly, statistics show that although Australians are catching COVID-19 at the same rate as most of the rest of the world, fewer are dying as a result. Perhaps this is because we Australian are healthier and fitter. Perhaps that is why more of our elderly are succumbing and less of our younger. Except, perhaps, for our Aboriginal population. The coronavirus appears to be tardy about reaching our larger, more remote, Aboriginal populations ... but it will. We have allowed the larger proportion of our Aboriginal population to be less healthy, less fit but more susceptible, lethally susceptible to disease. You and I grudgingly accept that we have to self-isolate, except for a number of our younger and our more arrogant. Most of us are managing to tolerate locking our doors and staying inside. People of a culture that were the sole occupants of our country for over 60,000 years don't self-isolate by locking themselves in a box. They self-isolate by spreading themselves across the land with the barest contact with others of their culture. But the will catch them .., Let's give them time to build up their health and their fitness. Let's give these people the resources to let build their health and fitness. Let's develop a vaccine or other technique that allow them to build their immunity. Love to hear your thoughts ...
