07.01.2022 After setting correct pinion preload to a nice light resistance. Its time to set the carrier bearing preload and backlash. Using a dial indicator as shown, backlash between the crownwheel and pinion must be set to between 1.2-1.9mm. Decreasing the chance of improper lubrication or gearset failure. Light drag is preferred for the carrier bearings also,... Arb air locker combined with 4.5 gears. Hilux. See more
