25.01.2022 We are looking for someone with qualifications in accounting, someone with experience in not-for-profit requirements and reporting and any exposure to the workings of NDIS would be an advantage.

23.01.2022 Day 2 is going to be in two parts as a bit happened including the whole post not saving and me having to start again this morning.

18.01.2022 We are looking for support workers for children with complex needs. Nursing students or overseas nursing qualifications are encouraged to apply.

15.01.2022 Hi everyone, This year has certainly been interesting and like most small businesses in the community, we have not been able to do anything we had planned. The board of Jack's Butterflies is using this time to reevaluate our mission and vision, revenue strategy and our goals. While we have two rare parents on the board, I don't want our voice to be the only ones heard. So I would like to hear from you.... If you are a rare parent, I would love your input. I am putting together a list of 4 dates (for now, if more people register, then I will add more dates) to hold a video call with up to 10 people in each call. We can talk about the struggles your family faces, what areas of support you currently receive (that are working - if someone out there is doing something well, we don't want to double up, that would be a waste of resources) and what types of support do you think your family would benefit from? I will talk about my why and how I started Jack's Butterflies and what my hopes for the future look like. By the end of each call, I hope to compile a list of ideas from other families to take to the board so we can make sure we are shaping an organisation that families need. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call on 0456782092 or email [email protected]. Keep an eye out as a registration link will be posted by the end of this week. Look forward to catching up with as many of you as I can. Rachel XX

13.01.2022 Will you help us raise money for our first Butterfly House for children and their families with rare diseases? You can read about the project here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DJCKVXB

11.01.2022 Hi everyone, we hope to have some exciting news to share soon. In the meantime, we would appreciate it if you can spend 5 minutes of your time to complete an anonymous survey for us. The first page is an outline of our current project. It is huge but really exciting. The results will be shared with the Brisbane City Council in a tender that we need to submit Monday. The survey will be open until Sunday night. Please share around and encourage as many people as you can to fi...ll it in. No matter where you are located, the results will be important for us moving forward. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WXZZLYD Thank you so much for your support.

01.01.2022 Friday, 18th December, we are starting a driving holiday to Adelaide for Christmas. I have created a blog to share what really goes on, the amazing moments that we create, how we overcome the challenging moments (because there are always plenty of those) and how, despite all of our fears, we don't let them stop us from doing completely crazy stuff, like driving over 4,000 kms with 7 children (one in a wheelchair and very complex needs) over a three week period. Here is my fir...st post. A little snippet to get you excited about the adventure that we are about to embark on. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas creating all kinds of moments that will last a lifetime. 'Life isn't a matter of milestones, but of moments' Rose F Kennedy
