These guys are also South Australian based, and carry out chassis extension...s on Volkswagen Amarok dual cabs, which are available Australia wide through the VW dealer network. The Amarok Dual Cab XL is a 310mm extension, providing a tray size similar to that which you would get on an extra cab vehicle. The XXL is a 650mm extension giving a tray size similar to single cabs. The benefit is not only the increased tray length over all, but also improved weight distribution - shifting more of the load between the front and rear axles, rather than behind the rear axle as is usually the case with dual cab vehicles. 15.01.2022 Silo season is well and truely upon us and its time for a "gentle reminder" to get your concrete slab poured! If you've got silos on order, please make sure you have your concrete down at least 2 weeks before your scheduled delivery. The Jacksons silo crew are well under way with production and are running on time but deliveries are starting to back up due to growers not having concrete down - be organised to avoid disapointment! Our truck is out delivering to those growers who are organised and have concrete down, but it is also scheduled pretty much every day so there's next to no time to reshuffle your scheduled deliveries if you are not ready.

Thank you Bridge Building Supplies for transport ...and Trent from BMH - Buddle Material Handling for the lift... and for both making this happen at short notice. We've had our new Guillotine on order and paid for since early June and its been a long wait... feels like it's sailed around the world three times to get here. Commissioning early next week, then I'm sure the team will be eager to have a play and clear the processing backlog. 02.01.2022 Jackson's - Vehicle builds. We have been babysitting this one for a little while now and as handover draws near our customer has requested we put a few kilometr...es on the clock prior to delivery just to make sure everything is sweet. After spending 6 years pushing our own single cab 79 around this big brown land you sorta get used to the little quirks that come with owning a 79, with some things being a love hate relationship. Having built another coil sprung 79 for myself I was amazed at the huge step forward in ride quality, braking and handling. But Tuesday I set off in this customers vehicle putting 100kms on the clock unladen and yesterday a further 300kms laden with a Jacksons Hardlid camper and front pod fitted, water tanks and fuel tanks all full as I wanted to test it both loaded and unladen. To say I was impressed is an understatement, with the ride almost as smooth unladen as laden! The ride quality offered by having an extra 300mm in the wheelbase is hard to put into words and I best describe it as it just feels natural on the road so balanced and virtually void of the annoying shunting the leaf sprung 79’s are known for. Get into the winding roads of the Adelaide Hills where the longer wheelbase should be working against you and it was exactly the opposite. The Jmacx coil suspension, track corrected rear diff, Kings shocks and the 300mm longer wheelbase made this vehicle feel super stable with basically no body roll, add to this the fact the brakes now work as brakes should and it just instils confidence and safety. It was plush in the ride yet super stable deep into corners, I seriously had to keep reminding myself I was behind the wheel of a 79 with a greatly increased legal GVM/GCM! So much so I think Margie needs a new car complete with a Jmacx 4495kg Super Chassis time to retire the old leaf sprung Cruiser! I’d also add to the build a set of leather Recaro seats for sure (6 years in Recaro’s - it would be hard to go back to OEM seats), and possibly an Auto trans just because!
