25.01.2022 My next evolution is officially live today! For 8 years, I've been the Director of the Day Spa Barnbougle Dunes and alongside that working in my own clinical practice focusing on fertility, pregnancy, and women's health. I love both roles so much and I've been trying to work out how to continue doing both independently and truth is, I couldn't-this mumma bear was being pulled in too many directions. Then 5 weeks ago the answer came to mind, and I made it reality, I'm combinin...g them. It's honestly been such a big 5 weeks, often the biggest things I've had to face have just been about diving in and then figuring it out. So from today, Alex and I are taking over the lease and business of the Day Spa at Barnbougle. We've called it Spa 180, inspired by the 180 degree view of Bass Strait right in front of us. Spa 180 now means I can combine my 2 big passions, inspiring people to take time out, slow down and care for themself as well as nurturing and supporting women (and men) on their fertility and health journey. I've spent the last 22 years studying- this is how it went down- Massage therapy, Bachelor of Naturopathy, Reiki, a Diploma of Beauty Therapy, Natural Fertility, Neurolinguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy, Time Line Therapy, Colonic Hydrotherapy, HypnoBirthing and most recenty Coaching. I've also spent the last 22 years figuring out how to put all of this together to really create Wellness, a true sense of wellbeing- mind, body and emotions, for my clients. Only recently I put all of this together to create my own unique Wellness Methodology but I still didn't know how to incorporate it all. And so I created my own way to do it. My vision is that Spa 180 will become Tasmania's destination for Wellness Retreats, Spa and Health. Fertility, Pregnancy, Birth and Women's Health will continue to be the main focus of my clinical work here as I know that my lived and learnt experience can really help to make a difference for someone else going through something similar. Now my clients will have the most superb location to base it from. Thank you to everyone that's helped me in the last 5 weeks. I can't wait to see you here x See more

24.01.2022 When you're trying to make changes trying to talk yourself out of a habit can be a really big mistake. Many people I work with are trying to implement change for their health, not just for their fertility or for the future baby's health but because they want to feel "better" emotionally and physically. And often when I see them they tell me about something they're trying to change and they'll say "I'm trying to stop eating chocolate" or "I keep telling myself not to eat sugar... but all I want is the sugar". Now if it was that simple to tell ourselves to stop doing something then obviously so many things in life would be so much easier. 15 years ago I studied to be a NLP Practitioner, (Neurolinguistic Programming) to further help my fertility patients with strategies and tools for their mind and emotions. I remember learning about the laws of the subconscious mind and being mind blown! One of these laws is that the subconsious mind doesn't process things in a negative. So if I tell you don't think about a blue tree, try really hard not to picture a tree with a dark blue trunk and light blue leaves, what are you thinking about? A blue tree!! But if I tell you picture a yellow tree, this yellow tree has a vibrant yellow trunk and the leaves a a soft yellow, what are you thinking about now? ;-) Well I know you're not thinking of a blue tree. So if you're trying really hard to change a habit instead of trying to talk yourself out of it, try talking yourself into something else. If you're one of my patients you probably haven't heard me simply say "cut out refined foods" but I'm sure you would have heard me say something like increase your servings of green vegetables at every meal or try to eat 1/2 avo a day. Both of which are amazing your health, fertility and baby's health and all which will likely lead to you decreasing your amount of refined foods. Save this post and read it every day so that you can practically take it on and start telling yourself what you want, instead of what you don't want. See more

23.01.2022 Is there something that stops you from really reaching for your wildest dreams, from leaning completely in? Fear of judgment? Failure? Risk? I spent some time early in my fertility journey not knowing if life would be ok if I went for IVF but didn’t create a baby. If I failed at fertility treatment. Truth is it was ok, our first cycle of IVF didn’t create a viable pregnancy. It created a little baby that we called lovingly called Full stop because that was probably as bi...g as it ever got. But Full stop paved the way for the 3 little girls that we do have now to come into our life. And when that happened I didn’t feel like a failure. I definitely felt sad but the fear that I might have failed at it, wasn’t there. So leaning in, going all in, feeling all the emotion showed me there really wasn’t anything that I was going to fail at. I think that leaning in to a dream, going all in is an important part of the process. What’s helped you to continue to go after your dream? See more

23.01.2022 Want to know one of my biggest concerns right now? It’s for the long term emotional, mental and physical health of women because of stress. Where I live, many people are returning to a sense of normalcy and moving away from the heightened fight/flight or freeze response of 2020 but with that people think they’re fine. For many of my patients who are living in other parts of Australia and the world I know that they are definitely not living they’re normal life. But even th...ough in clinic people say I’m fine, I’m seeing women with brand new cycle symptoms they’ve never had before, I’ve got women (and men) with previously very healthy and satisfying libido and sex life disappear to almost nothing, people that have never experienced anxiety finding day to day activities overwhelming...and honestly much more. So even if you might not have the fight or flight response that you’ve had at other times this year don’t underestimate that your adrenal glands, thyroid hormones, sex hormones, digestive tract, nervous system and immune system might all still be impacted by stress. I know there are many people right in the thick of a stress response with restrictions in place, scares with IVF cycles, Dr’s appointments etc and I know that your body could still be operating from fight/flight of freeze. So let me check in with you today- how are you? I mean, really let me know, how are you going? See more

18.01.2022 You know that feeling when you’re coming in to land at your holiday destination and you're so excited because you’re just about to be where you’ve always dreamed of going? You’ve been planning for this, you’re packed and you’re ready to get the adventure on it’s way. Well get THAT excited because on Monday 15th I’ll be holding The 2 Week Wait Masterclass- how to cope better and how to support implantation to help create a positive pregnancy. Seeeee? I knew this could be the ...start of your most amazing adventure yet. The 2 week wait often involves symptom spotting, followed by googling of every one of those symptoms and possibly a lot of pregnancy tests. It’s often a time when people feel helpless, out of control and like there's nothing that can be done other than wait. I know this because I’ve lived through it in my own IVF cycles as well as having supported hundreds of patients through it. I want to help and I’ve created this Masterclass to learn how to make the 2 week wait easier but more importantly to learn what can actually be done during that time to try and help with implantation. To register for this Masterclass you need to go to https://members.jaclynharris.com/the2weekwait . I’m so excited to share this and make a really big difference to the 2 week wait and to help create your positive 2ww. See more

17.01.2022 Want to know something? I too was the person that symptom spotted my way through the 2 week wait so I know exactly what it’s like to squeeze your boobs just one more time to see if they’re sore, or to google earliest signs of pregnancy in the hope that I ticked a few off the list. So when I went through my second cycle of IVF (the one we conceived our first daughter with) I knew I needed to approach it differently. That’s when I focused on putting together all of the resour...ces I’d been helping my fertility patients with for years already. (Yes, I know I should have done it for my first cycle, but of course, I just hoped that would just work first go.) I’m so happy that Ms L said that she actually enjoyed the 2 week wait- because I know it’s 100% possible to feel calm, to feel involved and to feel like you’re doing something to try and help implantation. Let me help you too! You only have until tomorrow night, 19th June, to join The Positive 2 Week Wait- so now is the time to get yourself ready if you’re trying right now or any time in the next 3 months. TGo to https://members.jaclynharris.com/positive2weekwait to read more or please feel free to message me. See more

16.01.2022 Hands up if you're coming close to a 2 week wait? Oh man I remember the 2 week wait of my own IVF cycles so vividly. I was soooo hyperaware of every.single.symptom, it was all I could think of and I wondered how the rest of the world could be going on as normal when it felt like my whole future depended on what happened in these 2 weeks. I have so many women that I'm working with currently in their 2 week and I'm so excited for them. Over the last 15 years of working with fe...rtility I find it's one time (especially in an IVF cycle) when women can feel completely helpless: excited, scared, hopeful and cautious too. Literally all rolled into 1 crazy feeling. It's because of this feeling, the fact that Mind/Body programs have been shown to benefical for IVF outcomes and because I think support and community are key pieces to suriving IVF that I created The Positive 2 Week Wait. You don't have to wake each day and feel like there's nothing to do except google whether or not your tender nipples are a sign of your period or pregnancy, or what's the earliest and most reliable #POAS pregnancy test you can do. You'll wake up and have something that I've created for you to focus on each and every single day. Day 1-14 of your #2ww you'll have an activity or something to implement to help you cope better and to try and tip the scales towards implantation. Plus, there's a community of women also going through the same thing who are also thinking about nothing but the 2 week wait and are ready to be there to share in and support each other. If this is something that you need in your life ready for you upcoming 2 week wait, then DM and I'll send you the link to join us. I can't wait to help support you so that your next 2 week wait is positive. This is from the @allthattriggers podcast. Listen in if you haven't already.

15.01.2022 Am I right in thinking that this year has played out differently to what you thought? I talk with women every day and hear the rollercoaster of emotions that they’re riding. And as I live my own experience, the rollercoaster of 2020 has allowed me to have some self reflection and realisation. I’ve realised that I spent many years surviving. Sometimes that came from knowing we had to do IVF and living with the fear of never having a family, sometimes that was working my way th...rough events that took time to process (eg the IVF pregnancy and birth of our twins), and other times that came from trying to keep 3 small people alive- I dreamt for so long of having our family and then 3 under 3 was largely about function and survival- of them and me! (I was grateful every day but it was definitely a challenge at times) But all of those periods of survival helped me to be a better person to help you. My journey to motherhood was somewhat rocky and these experiences have absolutely helped to create the informed and conscious woman and mum that I am today. I’m proud of what periods of survival taught me. What has this rollercoaster year made you see this year? See more

14.01.2022 Guess what?! It’s your lucky day to ask me anything about immunity, like a virtual mail time! Whether you’re wondering about how your immune system is impacting your overall health, about what you can use from your pantry to support it or which particular herbs or vitamins you should take, nothing is off limits! Don’t worry, virtual mail time is a lot quicker than snail mail. Send me a DM with your questions and I’ll answer them in my LIVE interview with Accor Hotels for Glob...al Wellness Day this Saturday at 4:30pm AEST. I’m the first speaker on the panel and can’t wait to really get the discussion started about how you can easily build and strengthen your immune system. By the way, did I tell you how happy and excited I am to be asked to be a part of this event, I can’t wait! If you’d like to join us please let me know and I can send you the link to join us live. 13.01.2022 I think it's really important to know that we're not alone when we face fertility struggles. I like it that celebrities speak up about their own struggles on the path to motherhood because for some people who chose not to share their experience with anyone, it enables them to see that fertility struggles are way more common than we like to think. https://www.marieclaire.com//g33534473/celebrity-infertili

12.01.2022 Last night I had the chance to speak about strengthening the immune system using nutrition and herbal medicine with the Accor Hotel team in celebration of Global Wellness Day. It was so much fun and so great to connect with people from literally everywhere all over the world.

11.01.2022 This is a really easy to read article about fertility, IUI and IVF from The Standard in Kenya. What I loved was the opening sentence: "For almost half of couples having problems conceiving, the cause of infertility is sperm-related." The reason I like this so much is because I so often find that the emphaisis is so often put on a women's health/egg quality and this gets straight to the point that sperm health is equally important. If you're planning IVF soon and want to know ...all that you HAVE to consider to get yourselves emotionally, mentally and physically ready please message me because I have something really exciting coming soon that I'd love you to be a part of. https://www.standardmedia.co.ke//when-natural-fails-a-guid

11.01.2022 Do you want to create your positive 2 week wait? I thought you might like to hear what it’s like from someone that’s actually been through it with me. Ms A said to me that Before joining the (Positive) TWW we were doing OI and TI, during this time I felt somewhat like I have no control and it is up to 'fate'. I felt that apart from optimising my health and egg quality that the rest was up to chance. I struggled with this as it made me feel somewhat helpless. After joining... me and the other women inside The Positive 2 Week Wait Ms A said Since joining the TWW program I felt more empowered and somewhat in more control. Compared to previous tww's prior to joining where I felt lost and beholden to 'fate' I now felt more relaxed and in tune with my body and the process. Knowing that i was supported and was doing everything possible to love and enhance my body for pregnancy gave me a feeling of peace and calmness. Up until Friday the 19th June at midnight, you can join the other women and I inside The Positive 2 Week Wait. A community and program where you have daily education and activities for you to focus on to either help you feel calm or to try and help with implantation. Now is the perfect time to join us if you’re trying naturally or you have a fertility cycle coming up anytime in the next 3 months. Want to know more? Just send me a DM and I’m happy to help, otherwise you can go to https://members.jaclynharris.com/positive2weekwait to read more. See more

10.01.2022 Can you hear that? That’s the beautiful sound of me typing the finishing touches on tonight's 2 Week Wait Masterclass! You spoke and I listened! All the info you’ve been asking me about how to cope better through the 2 week wait but also how to help with implantation is coming tonight. Comment below with any last minute questions you may have. I love hearing from you! I can’t wait to see you tonight. P.S If you haven’t registered yet and you’re trying to conceive naturally or have an upcoming fertility cycle then please go to https://members.jaclynharris.com/the2weekwait to grab one of the last places.

09.01.2022 Are you enjoying a delicious herbal I've made? Ok, sorry. That's a little bit of an extension of the truth. Your herbal medicine is absolutely delightful in what they do for you, but I know they don't necessarily taste that way! Quick tip: if you find them hard to take, measure your dose (whatever I've prescribed for you) into your measuring cup, fill only that with water, take it down fast in one mouthful and then chase it down with a glass of water. TIP: don't take a breath... in between just shot your herbal back and then quickly drink your glass of water. If you find even that a trouble at all, get some good quality pure dark grape juice and mix a small amount of that- say 20ml, into your measuring cup with your herbal and then do the same tip above, was it all down with a glass of water. Hands up if you're loving the taste of your current herbal? See more

08.01.2022 I’m generally easy-going with my patients, but often one of my non-negotiables is temperature charts. I know it may sound like they’re not that much of a big deal, but I’ve used them in the past to help resolve issues with my own hormones and for my patients, they help to give me such amazing insights into what’s happening with your hormones- whether that’s for your health, to help you conceive naturally or to prepare you for IVF! Without temperature charts, I’d be relying o...n the occasional blood tests that you have and your memory. Which for you when 1 month feels like the next it’s hard for me to get a really clear picture of how you’re progressing with the work that we’re doing. For those of you who are preparing for IVF these can still be really beneficial for me because it helps me to identify any really important areas that we may need to work on before you get started. What do you think about temperature charts? Do you love them or hate them (be honest!) If you want to learn more about what I use them for go to https://www.jaclynharris.com/blog/tempchart See more

07.01.2022 Ok, this is for the woman who is pregnant after trying really hard to have a baby. Raise your hand if you’ve had a hard moment or a hard day in this pregnancy. I remember this unfolding of myself emotionally when I was pregnant that I just didn’t know. Physically I was well but I had a new level of sensitivity that made me feel really vulnerable. Looking back now I love those moments of vulnerability, but I remember doubting myself and wondering why I felt weak, well at the... time I interpreted it as a weakness. Regardless of whether you’re just having a day of feeling emotionally vulnerable or maybe your physical body doesn’t feel amazing today I just want to let you know that it’s ok, you can have dreamt of this baby for a really long time, love this baby with your heart and soul, and it’s still ok to have a day that pushes you to a new level. It doesn’t make you ungrateful, you don’t need to feel guilty. Any mum’s pregnancy after fertility treatment felt this? See more

07.01.2022 Can we talk about pregnancy and mental health after IVF? In a study from 2018, it was found that Mum’s through IVF had higher symptoms of anxiety and higher stress makers in all 3 trimesters compared with women who had conceived naturally. This study reaffirms to me how important pregnancy support and care is. I know many women feel alone after they get discharged from their IVF clinic- the place that they’ve so regularly visited and at one stage the place they hoped they’d... never have to go to because it meant they were pregnant, but now it feels strange to not be going back. This is why I offer all of the women that I work with throughout their fertility journey the opportunity to have my support through their pregnancy and for most women we continue this until they’re at least 3 months postpartum. To me, the journey to motherhood and the struggles of infertility/IVF don’t just end the day you get your positive test or after the viability scan. I know you want to be a mum and I love supporting you to become that, but I also love making sure you’re the mum who’s healthy- body and mind, and who’s confidently and consciously making informed decisions at every step of the way. If you’re pregnant after IVF, have you experienced any anxiety and at what stage in the pregnancy has it been/was it the highest? See more

07.01.2022 This time last week I made a REALLY big decision, so scary it excites every single cell in my body and brain. I promise I'll share all the details soon but I can tell you now it's a decision that allows me to help more people. It's a life long mission coming together faster than I anticipated but sometimes that's the best way. So, this morning I was out walking, talking and brainstorming plans as the sun came up with Tidal Yoga for Mindful Movement (And yes, our jumpers matched the beach at Sunrise)

06.01.2022 I hate to admit it, but many days I’m up working hours before my family wake and I might sneakily fit in a little more after they go to bed at night. (I do take ample time out for myself too, don’t worry!) But you know what? I’m a helper at heart, and I love what I do. At the end of the day, I work hard to help improve the experience of women because I think a woman’s journey into motherhood can shape the earliest years of her biggest transition ever. The quote above is wri...tten to me by a woman who took really proactive steps to change the experience of her fourth IVF transfer. I think it’s just amazing that even though she described herself as "highly strung" that the preparation and work she did through that cycle is changing her experience of pregnancy now. It literally makes me get teary because I know this is what can happen for someone and I’m so pleased for Ms C that she felt different through her IVF cycle because of the work she did and that she’s now experiencing her pregnancy feeling positive and calm. On Monday 15th June, I'm holding a (free) 2 Week Wait Masterclass to help you learn about how you can take care of yourself, and your little embryo, through your next 2 week wait. If you want to join me go to https://members.jaclynharris.com/the2weekwait. I'd love to see you there! See more

05.01.2022 Have you ever considered if there’s anything you can do to help implantation? But found yourself down a rabbit hole on google with all the early symptoms and old wives tales that you’re not sure whether to believe or not. Then fear not! I’m here to tell you that I pride myself on a healthy mix of science, mindset and whole lot of care. When I put together the info for tomorrow’s 2 week wait Masterclass I’ve considered all of that together to try and help you get your positive test result. Sound tempting? Learn more by registering for tomorrow night by going to https://members.jaclynharris.com/the2weekwait.

05.01.2022 Do you lean more towards hot chocolate or a hot cup of tea? When I’m indulging, I love a warm cacao drink- it not only makes me feel physically warmer but it makes me feel nurtured and taken care of. Yes, I know, my green tea is good for me too but the Warm Cacao drink definitely stops me from snacking if I’m in that kind of mood because it fills me up. Did you know that in the same way taking a Magnesium supplement can help with your sleep, mood, muscle aches, stress respo...nse and pre-menstrual symptoms that a warm cacao can help you too. It’s like natures’ gift for a really beautiful dose of magnesium. Plus, it tastes delicious. Want to know how I make mine? 1 dessertspoon of Cacao, 1 cup of almond milk and a few tablespoons of cream (use coconut oil/cream if you prefer). I put it all in my thermo, 6 mins, 90degrees, sp3. Then when it’s done slowly move it up to sp 7-8 for 20 seconds so it’s nice and frothy. Then comes the important part- get your favourite mug out and make sure you drink it from that!

05.01.2022 Hands up who feels like change is the only certainty with IVF? I know I did! and I know that for most of the women I work with that there are "surprises" or changes that they didn't expect with IVF. It can come in all forms- your cycle not arriving on time, a blood test result taking longer to come back or the result being different from what was expected, changing meds/doses, friendships changing, an unexpected bill, or a cycle result which is not what you hoped. Yes, egg he...alth is important, sperm health is important... hormone health, supplements, diet, exercise, being informed....it's all really important and you'll definitely hear me talking about all of those. But without resiliency, it can be exhausting, overwhelming and it can take over your entire life. It is important to look at all the areas I've mentioned but also mental health (the inner mind game), your emotional health and your coping strategies, these are all so important to feel resilient. I love it when people are proactive to take control of what they can but I also need to know that you're feeling reslient. I know this because I've lived it. There were definitely times I didn't feel resilient and I had to create steps to build it. I truly believe that a key piece of the IVF puzzle is to create and enhance your own inner resiliency. Do you feel like this is something you've been prioritising? See more

04.01.2022 I’m so excited! Last night on the 2 Week Wait Masterclass I opened up the opportunity for you to join me inside the Positive 2 Week Wait. I want to transform your experience of your 2 week wait from one where you’re symptom spotting, feeling helpless and anxious to one where you actually understand what’s happening between you and your embryo and you’re doing all that you can to try and help that. I want you to build your toolkit of techniques so that you feel calm, more conf...ident and connected because you’re being deeply supported through it. Each and every single day of your 2 week wait, you’ll be educated, inspired and uplifted knowing that you have a new video to watch and a new task to complete. Most importantly you’ll be a part of a really beautiful, supportive community of women who are all focused on being proactive to try and help create their pregnancy and who are focused on nurturing themselves while they do that. You have until midnight on Friday to join us so perfect if you're ttc or going through IUI or IVF any time in the next 3 months. Take it from Ms C: The 2WW for me prior to joining the program was very nerve racking. I was on edge throughout the whole 2 weeks. I would google a lot and question every symptom that I had..... The positive 2WW helped me relax and not be so anxious. It gave me something to focus on other than the actual 2 week wait. Does this sound like something you’d love? Then jump over to https://members.jaclynharris.com/positive2weekwait to learn more. Let’s create your Positive! See more

03.01.2022 Why take everything when you might be missing the one thing you really need. There are plenty of books/blogs to read about supplements to take for your fertility, but I like to think the way I do things really sets me apart. It’s because I’m not just ticking the boxes on a bunch of vitamins- I work out what YOU specifically need based on looking at your blood tests from optimal and putting that together with the information from your symptoms and cycles. I’ll read your temperature charts, assess your hormones, consider your lifestyle/diet to work out exactly what you need to try and help you create your much dreamed of baby. I have 3 appointments left to get started with me this month, DM me if you want one of those spots.
