24.01.2022 WEIGHT FLUCTUATIONS? These are just a few reasons why your weight can fluctuate. Do not overvalue the scale as it is there to provide feedback to you and your progression. 1. High levels of sodium intake can irritate your gut which will contribute to bloating. Be considerate as to what you eat and how much of it you are eating. Journaling your food choices is a great tool to overcome this.... 2. 2 hormones that get largely affected are Serotonin and Dopamine. With these increasing to its lowest... self control of calorie intake is tough whilst being patient with your progress. Educating yourself around how you’re feeling around this time will contribute to a strong mind to control as much of your cravings as possible. 3. Menstruation creates water retention due to Progesterone increasing. Blood increases due to your Uterus becoming full. (TMI)....? To help overcome this is simply accepting that this is normal. Normalise that feeling heavy is normal during this time. My overall experience and knowledge is that this feedback can be dealt differently to each individual. Some people can become highly insulin resistant in this time which basically means carbs aren’t your friend during TOFTM. Some can handle their training, cravings, nutrition protocol and body’s differently. I’m sure some of you have experienced stress over your weight. So hope this helps clear the air! 11.01.2022 As 2021 has rolled in. I spent the first few days recapping many things of last year. There was one thing that continues to keep me up every night.. THE RATE OF PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT MENTALLY CAPABLE TO CHANGE THEIR LIFE. How many times have you tried to achieve a goal for it to go down the drain because you gave up 2 weeks in?... How many times have you failed, that made you think you will never achieve that goal? My job, I speak to hundreds of people a year from all walks of life. The most common error in there Health and Fitness Journey has been a LACK OF MOTIVATION or LACK OF CONFIDENCE. Why does this happen to so many? Because of the amount of garbage said on social media, advertisement and at social gatherings with friends, work colleagues and families. So much misleading information which makes your inner thoughts overthink your current progress, goals and future goals. This blinds you to celebrate any type of win. The rate of obesity & cardiovascular disease continues to increase in men and women! Statistic show *1 death every 36 seconds for heart diseases* Fat loss is created by over eating & not moving enough to burn calories. Every tom dick and harry should know that (I hope) BUT what people are not talking about is the reason they are not moving and eating too much. Those two common areas I spoke about earlier could possibly be the reason. Your emotions take over due to what you hear and see around you which doesn’t let you see the light at the end of the tunnel which than jeopardises your journey. My advice to you all isn’t the most cliche Switch your mindset. It aint easy! My advice is found someone, a type of group that will cherish your progression, that will progress along side you, support every move you make. Someone that will HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE. After you read this. Remember you’re not alone. Investing your time, energy and money in someone or something that will bring you value is the greatest gift. I hope 2021 brings a change in leaders wanting to actually lead. I hope it brings people to recognise they need help.
