Some data even concludes that drinking upward of three cups a day can reduce liver cancer up to 50 percent. Coffee also protects the liver from liver-damaging substances like alcohol and acetaminophen. We may attribute this phenomenon to the unexpected effects that caffeine has on liver enzymes. Liver enzymes seem to be the target for the caffeine in coffee, reducing them in the body. High liver enzymes are associated with a damaged liver. - In addition to supporting the liver, coffee drinking is linked to lower levels of thyroid disease, diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, and cancer, improvement in Alzheimer’s patients, and lower levels of suicide. Most of the positive research on coffee/caffeine suggests improvements are seen in a daily consumption of three to five cups of coffee. So don’t be shy when asking for that second cup of coffee; your health is counting on it. - Coffee also contains numerous important minerals, including magnesium, potassium, and B1 and B3 vitamins. 06.01.2022 Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, uncertain? You’re not alone!! 100% of my classes have shut down since Friday afternoon ... This means no work and no $ coming in for me (and literally 1000s of other people for who knows how long...) It’s easy to get caught up in distress when we’re in the eye of the storm. We can also become a little tunnel visioned and allowably so as we try to deal with the situation that seemed to drop out of the blue... I’ve taught a lot of people how to calm the mind and nervous system and how to practice breathing techniques in order to manage stressful occurrences beyond our control. While this won’t pay the bills, it may go at least a little way in guiding you to : Look outside the square Think outside the box Use your creativity to find other income sources (not drugs lol) I’ve been a holistic health coach for a long time now and for myself (and all others in the health industry) it is our passion as well as our job to give advice, tips on training, nutrition, and spirituality at all times in one’s life but even more so during these very troubling weeks and months ahead as we try to come to grips with this whole covid-19 situation. My presence on this page has been a little scarce lately as I, also am distracted with, quite frankly, not knowing whether to laugh or cry (I have done a lot of both recently) which only adds to the flow of emotional torment that we are all experiencing... To truly be an authentic spiritual leader one must not be afraid to show one’s own vulnerability and admit that yes, I am scared, I am angry and I’m muddling through, just like everybody else... But... Make no mistake, our psychology WILL affect our physiology I have been asked by more than a few people as to whether I would consider going online with my teachings? I’ve given this a lot of thought and from my own perspective - (I’m currently studying and that is now a priority) - it’s a lot more complex logistically than many people realise... That being said, myself and Mish from Yoga Central Coast are currently working on some yoga practices to be recorded onto a USB stick and available for purchase at a very reasonable price so that you guys can invite us into your own homes remotely and continue your yoga and meditation practice from the comfort of your own private space... 05.01.2022 Well, that was interesting - and now - the mess - becomes the message I admit that at first I panicked a little as, like millions of others, I’d just lost... my job... Turns out, this was a really REALLY good thing for me... Hi everyone For almost four months now I’ve completely stepped back from life as I knew it... For me - there was something deeper at play...a message from the Gods of Devine intervention We all have our own ideas of what the message is but from my perspective the message was clear... * Cease all Social Media * Allow yourself to lay back and retreat into your bubble * Restart the healing process * Realise that your whole life is a process of growth and healing * Know that losing a piece of your heart for teaching was necessary to take back the piece of your soul that was missing - (I was literally burning from the outside in) * Being unable to train the way you love - surrounded by metal and steel and also being unable to purchase lifting equipment for a home gym set up due to the pandemic - you will choose to just walk every morning and do a little yoga and meditation...I’m so lucky I have my own private yoga space to fully immerse myself * Focus on your study - (this is a slow process as it’s so bloody hard lol but I’m happy with where I’m sitting) * Spend some quality time with the folks while being able to devote yourself to their care (happy 90th birthday dad ) my father injured his back so I moved back home for a month to take care of him and my mother * Reflect on life both pre and post COVID-19 what direction do you want your life to go? what action do you need to take to get there? what is your ability to follow instruction? what is your willingness to get uncomfortable? what does the big picture look like to you? These questions relate to all areas on the wheel of life not just employment and finance... As I mentioned earlier, I've taken a lot of time to reflect as we all come out on the other side of the tunnel and I am not returning in the same capacity as I retreated and I have deliberately chosen to cull back in certain areas and push forward in others... And so here we are... heading back to the mat... WHEN : Saturday's (one session per week only at this stage) WHERE : Gosford Chiropractic Centre - 32 York St, Gosford TIME : 9:30am START DATE : 18/7/2020 COST : $100 (5 week block - 90 minutes) Obviously things have changed on this side of covid so the instruction is as follows : * Yogis must book in via this page or you can DM me - and pay for the 5 week block at the first session (preferably cash only at this stage) - paying for all sessions up front will ensure attendance as numbers will be limited and this is the fairest way around this...Attendance will be marked off each week on an attendance card that you keep with you... * This is a beautiful and tranquil space for your practice but it is not very large so due to the social distancing requirements our numbers will be limited to 8 people only...we may be able to increase numbers at a later time as social distancing measures reduce...we may also put on an extra class... * Please bring you own mat, block if you have one, snuggle stuff (for the meditation part of your practice - blanket and/or pillow) as we will no longer be supplying these things... * Hand sanitizer will be supplied at the door... * If you are at all unwell, please honour and respect your needs and the needs of others and stay home to rest...Speak to us privately and we'll work with you regarding your missed class... * Any other queries please DM us... special note : If the numbers are justified We will put on a second class back to back either before or after this class or maybe another day to accommodate everyone...
