25.01.2022 For all my primary teacher friends - please feel free to share. We worked really hard on this and I love the end result. It would be great to see the program used in classrooms all over the country and further afield :)
25.01.2022 Happy launch day to my brave and curious spy twins, Kensy and Max as they head to Zermatt, Switzerland for another action-packed adventure in Kensy and Max: Full Speed. For kids who like adventures, action, mystery, family, friends, fun, heart, and humour! I loved writing this story and hope you enjoy reading it too.

20.01.2022 This Saturday is Love Your Bookshop Day. Lots of bookshops have been doing it tough this year. If you love reading try and stop by at your local and say hello - better still buy a book. I'll be at Book Review St Ives from 11-12.30pm signing copies of my latest Kensy and Max book, Kensy and Max: Full Speed and then I'll be heading to Harry Hartog in Narellan for my second signing 2-3pm. I live on the Upper North Shore and grew up in Camden (which is the next town along from Narellan) - so sharing the love in two of my favourite locations.
18.01.2022 This afternoon I'll be chatting with Adrian Beck about Australia's Top 50 books as voted by you! Tune in at 5pm :)
18.01.2022 What a huge effort Leila! 440 books read this year (and I was so thrilled to see that mine are some of your favourites).

18.01.2022 Love this review of Kensy and Max: Full Speed from The Book Muse! '...Kensy and Max stories are always page turners, are addictive and celebrate family, friendship, and loyalty, whilst using mystery and spy themes to tell an exciting story for readers aged eight and older. It also celebrates diversity and shows that boys and girls don’t have to fit into stereotypes, which is the beautiful thing about Jacqueline Harvey’s books they’re for all readers, and all readers can see something of themselves in the characters that she creates. Bring on more Kensy and Max!' Ashleigh Meikle https://ashleighmeikle.com.au//kensy-and-max-full-speed-b/

17.01.2022 Today's the day! The Reading Hour is here and I'm going to be spending some time with Phosphorescence by Julia Baird and I'm a Hero Too by Jamila Rizvi and Peter Cheong. What are you reading?
17.01.2022 Big W have a box set of the first three Kensy and Max titles which have just gone on sale. $20 for three books is a bargain! The perfect way to introduce young readers to the series.
15.01.2022 So this is what I’m reading for The Reading Hour today. What’s on your book list?
15.01.2022 So excited to see @kateisobelscott yesterday! A long time ago I was Kate’s Transition (Kindergarten) teacher @gibgate then a few years later we were reunited in Year 4. Now I am thrilled that Kate is going to illustrate two picture books I’ve written. Kate was always an amazing artist - when she was a little girl I used to say that one day I would write stories and she’d draw the pictures. I had no idea I’d ever be published but I am so glad that bold statement has come true. She is a talent to be reckoned with and I am one very proud old teacher! @penguinkidsaustralia @puffinbooksaus #kateisobelscott #jacquelineharvey #picturebooks #penguinrandomhouse
14.01.2022 It’s been a traumatic week for Bally Puss. A couple of magpies have developed a great dislike for the poor kitty, swooping him anytime he sets foot outside. Hopefully they’ll be over their nesting soon. #australia #magpieseason #magpieswoop #bally #ballypuss #catsofinstagram #tabbiesofinstagram
14.01.2022 This is Addison. She wrote to me all the way from Missouri in the US to say she was really enjoying Kensy and Max. I wrote back (it's my mission to write to all of the children who contact me - via snail mail or email or various other means - sometimes it takes a while but I try). Yesterday her mum sent this picture of Addison receiving her letter. This means everything to me. What a privilege it is to write stories that connect us all over the world. Her joy is just beautiful.
13.01.2022 If you didn't catch it last week, Adrian Beck and I chatted about the Better Reading Kids Top 50 books - with some interesting facts about some of the stories and their authors. Check it out.
12.01.2022 Setting up for @little_bookroom final Saturday session! Just gathered all the kids together. Thankyou to the irrepressible Leesa Lambert @l_e_e_s_a_l for having me. What a gorgeous group of readers we had - and we virtually launched Kensy and Max: Full Speed!! (it’s officially out on Monday). @penguinkidsaustralia @puffinbooksaus #puffinbooksaus #penguinkidsaustralia #kensyandmaxfullspeed #kensyandmax #alicemiranda #clementinerose #kidsreading
10.01.2022 Tomorrow is Love your bookshop day! I’ll be at Book Review St Ives 11-12.30pm then I’m scooting off to Harry Hartog in Narellan for 2-3pm. 10.01.2022 Kensy and Max hardback copies on display in Winder Public Library in Georgia, USA - so excited to see this!
09.01.2022 Next week is official CBCA Book Week (it was moved to October because of Covid). I'm looking forward to getting out and about to schools - lots of which will be having their annual Book Parade. If you're stuck for a costume idea here are some really easy and fun ones (and I would also recommend Kensy and Max by spy twins too and Clementine Rose - all achievable with clothes from the cupboard!).
09.01.2022 If your kids are just hanging around at home this afternoon then sign up for this free session - we're starting at 3pm! Love to see your friendly faces while we talk all things books - and lots of Kensy and Max and Alice-Miranda news too!
08.01.2022 Love Your Bookshop Day was full of happiness and surprises. Thanks to the always wonderful Book Review @stivesvillage for a busy morning and to the staff @harryhartogbookseller Narellan for their fabulousness this afternoon. Lovely to see the always gorgeous @vintage_camden Laura Jane! In the last picture I’m on a FaceTime call with a girl called Charli. She’s in Scone. Her uncle - from Parkes just happened to be in Narellan today. When we were in Orange in July he messaged m...e after seeing I was doing a signing @collinsbooksorange and asked if I was going anywhere else in the Central west as his niece was there in Parkes on holiday and is a huge fan. Today he recognised me and got Charli on FaceTime so we had a lovely chat. He bought her the new Kensy and Max book and will most certainly win uncle of the year! I love how books bring people together! @loveyourbookshopday @puffinbooksaus @penguinkidsaustralia #loveyourbookshopday2020 #loveyourbookshop #kensyandmax #kensyandmaxfullspeed #alicemiranda #clementinerose See more
08.01.2022 Looking forward to being part of this event in November celebrating all things books and reading!
08.01.2022 Happy 60th birthday to The Little Bookroom! Congratulations Leesa, Ian, Lesley and Michael on all that you do turning little people into readers. To be in the business of imagination and stories is a beautiful thing. Thank you for all the launches and teachers' nights and opportunities to meet the readers. You are all superstars!
06.01.2022 This review of Alice-Miranda in the Outback made me smile so much. Apart from the fact that Harper loved the book, her review is wonderfully written - her parents and teachers must be very proud. Harper’s Bookshelf 5 stars Sep 23, 2020Harper’s Bookshelf rated it it was amazing Alice Miranda and her friends are off to the Australian outback to help an old family friend Barnaby Lewis who lives on a farm.... This book is full of eccentric quirky characters. I loved Sprocket McGinty now that is not a name you hear every day! What about Taipan Dan who got bitten by a taipan? Thank goodness he survived. But then he goes missing and you go on the adventure to solve the mystery. Mysteries are trickling throughout the old farmhouses. Watch out for murder mysteries and who is going to find the old opal mine? You’ll have to read the book to find out. This book definitely kept me on my toes. I thought something was going to happen and then bam! Something completely different happened to what you were thinking. I had to put the book in my lap a few times to compose myself. But I just couldn’t stop reading. The language was so descriptive! I loved all the new words I learnt. Enigmatic! I had never heard of that word before and had to go and look it up in the dictionary. This is such a funny book, but I don’t want to give too much away. But let me just leave this here, one of Alice Miranda’s friends thinks that Eagles are really pterodactyls. It keeps coming up in the book and every time I saw it I would have a chuckle to myself.
05.01.2022 I had lots of fun filming this for the Spot On Festival - you can watch it now and also head to the theatre for lots of other live performances during the school holidays. (I won't be there in person but many others will!).
04.01.2022 Just had a good old chin wag with Adrian about the Better Reading Kids Top 50 list which was released today. Tune in to have a look and give us your thoughts.
03.01.2022 Looking forward to Love Your Bookshop Day! See where I'll be celebrating below.
03.01.2022 Audiobooks are great for car trips, bedtime - anytime really. They're also a way to help reluctant readers get hooked on books. Kensy and Max: Full Speed is out now and so is the Audiobook too. I have such a ball narrating the stories.
02.01.2022 So thrilled to see Kensy and Max getting some chat in the USA. Thank you to Meridian Magazine for the recommendation and to AL Tait for sharing :)
02.01.2022 Happy launch day to Kensy and Max: Full Speed! If your young readers enjoy mystery, adventures, action, family, friends, fun, heart and humour they might just like Kensy and Max’s stories. This is the 6th book in the series and I’m midway through writing the 7th. @penguinkidsaustralia @puffinbooksaus #kensyandmax #kensyandmaxfullspeed #jacquelineharvey #mysterybooksforkids #adventurestoriesforkids #spykids #spystories #spystoriesforkids #action
