25.01.2022 Anger on the plains How good is storm season?? It’s amazing to see some rain again and lightning bolts flash across the sky. The pure anger in some of these storms is unbelievable and the speed at which they travel. Hope you all stayed safe today ... Nikon D850 Sirui Australia W1204 14-24m

21.01.2022 Forest Walking through the forests of Tasmania, admiring the gorgeous wildlife and flora that surrounded us. I can only imagine what the amazon rainforest must look like. As all too many of us already know the forests are burning at a rapid rate, coverage of the fires is minimal and the impact is devastating. We all need to make a continue effort to change and stand up for the planet as we are it’s only voice. Could you imagine the outrage if this was happening in your backy...ard? ______________________ Nikon Z7 24-70mm Exp 1/6th Second f/8 NiSi Filters Australia and New Zealand Advance CPL Sirui Australia W1204 ______________________ See more

18.01.2022 Hamnoy I have been dreaming of arctic winter lately. Deep snow, warm fires, small red cabins and dramatic landscapes. It has been a challenging few months for me and I have not been able to work on my photography as much as I would have hoped. It’s scenes like this that remind me where my passion came from and that no matter how difficult life can be there is still beauty out there for all of us to enjoy. Here is a little sleepy fishing village, tucked away in the Lofoten Is...lands. ______________________ Nikon Z7 24-70mm Exp 1/3 Second f/8 NiSi Filters Australia and New Zealand Advance CPL Sirui Australia W1204 ______________________ See more

11.01.2022 Winter Cabin It’s incredible to see all of these little cabins scattered across the Lofoten Islands. All the different shapes and colours bringing a bit of life to this winter wonderland. ______________________ Nikon Australia Z7... 24-70mm Exp 1/25 Second f/11 NiSi Filters Australia and New Zealand Advance CPL Sirui Australia W1204 ______________________ See more

06.01.2022 Windy Times After arriving in Iceland after 32hrs on a plane and a shorts night sleep in a camper van. I was woken up by what could only be described as a scene from Jurassic Park, there was loud screeching, the van was being shaken from side to side; I was sure I had woken up to a nightmare. I slowly opened to the door holding on as tight as possible to find that I was in one of the worst wind storms I had ever experienced. However there was so much colour in the sky I could... not help myself, I quickly grabbed my camera and ran out in search of some shelter and somewhere low I could grab a shot. This little gully was the best I could find but it made for a great shot. On this day wind gusts were recorded at 142km p/hr. ______________________ Nikon D850 16-35mm Exp 1/5 Second f/9 NiSi Filters Australia and New Zealand Advance CPL Sirui Australia W1204 ______________________

04.01.2022 Long Nights If only you could get a true understanding of what was involved in capturing this image on this incredible night. Temperatures were well below -30c but the forecast was for abnormal aurora conditions. The sun set at 2:27pm we hit the road at 3pm with just over 2.5 hrs worth of driving ahead and a necessary hotdog stop for good measure. Once we arrived at our location there was the faintest hint of aurora, after a lengthly discussion around the depth of the snow w...e had content with and uneven terrain that snowshoes were a must. After hiking down to the hut we managed a few good images but nothing worth writing home about. We had been standing in the freezing cold for over 3 hours in anticipation for the sky to light up. I was optimistic about the forecast and the aurora had begun to die off, so I made my way back to the car and was busy removing my snow shoes when within a split second the sky lit up. Snow shoes back on with camera gear in place I raced down to the hut quicker than Usain Bolt covering the 100m sprints. I am pretty sure I set a new record for the 100m in snow shoes. This was the beginning of the next 6hrs worth of aurora, the night that just kept giving for all our hard work. ______________________ Nikon Z7 24-70mm Exp 2Second f/4 Sirui Australia W1204 ______________________ See more
