10.01.2022 We have just completed our shakedown trip in Cobram. The 39c temperatures gave the a/c and fridge a fair going over, but both coped well. Everything went well but we do have a long list of items to add in the house part. Visited Paul and Bern Squires Winery today in Bundalong. Good luck with their new venture. It was sensational sitting in the shade of an umbrella on the banks of the Ovens river tasting fresh wines.
07.01.2022 After a very successful shakedown trip to Cobram we came home via some of the iconic Silo art installations. Wow, how fabulous. But even better is the spark of life these mural have brought to the almost abandoned townships along the wheat belt railways. It was great to see pubs and cafes springing into action with the amount of tourism the Silos have attracted.
01.01.2022 So this RV ing is turning out just as we had hoped. The key word is flexibility and going with the flow. We had planned to go to Gippsland, but the weather looked a little cold and windy. So we changed tack and went north, heading for Mildura. 1st night our first off grid experience, staying in an Oak forest just NE of Castlemaine. Must say we’re happy to see just one other RV. A delightful lunch in Maldon and arrived at Charlton at an amazing RV park for next to nothing, and lots to see. So a three nighter planned. Went to an amazing artisan today who makes bigger then life sculpture from spanners. Amazing what you find in the middle of nowhere. Lexi is coping well, a little unsettled but hoping she will get used to it. She is sleeping well. Planning tondo some Silo Art tomorrow
