24.01.2022 About eight almost nine months ago (like creating a child) I bought a van for myself my kids and the dogs to start adventuring in! It was in great shape and at a great deal with really low k’s, so I was very onto the kids being careful in it so it didn’t get trashed. I wanted it kept clean and immaculate just how I bought it (second hand). Months on, after adventuring in the van a couple of times and having fun and still being strict with it.. what did I do? ... I pulled in to park to go for a surf after a tiring day working (cleaning), pulled into a car space in front of my other boss (surf coach) truck and heard a strange noise and felt a bump. I didn’t stop. I kept going.. to my park slowly thinking something was stuck under a tyre... when I jumped out I realised I had scrapped the WHOLE FREAKIN SIDE OF MY VAN alongside a Bull bar I was so devo! I grabbed my board and jumped in the water to think about it later. I got a good contact of a person to fix vehicles locally and booked him in ASAP to have it done in 2 weeks time. I told him to fix it but I’ll paint it. As much to my dismay... I didn’t want a hippy van looking van... (you know all the painted ones ) so I fumbled with ideas pondering on what I would paint and how.. So he fixed it and I just shrugged and figured I would pretend that is was part of what I paid for the van in the first place since I got it at a good price. Months later... I am finally tackling my paint job... the vision is my business name with these little birdies and the earrings underneath. The whistling kite, my favourite raptor will be on there also. And maybe some other small things. For now, here’s what I’ve done before I get some screens screwed over some windows fresh air with safety while travelling

19.01.2022 Blue Tiger Butterflies In the midst of transformation and changing times in 2020 - the huge bloom of butterflies that filled a fair bit of the east coast of Australia, and all over AGNES Water /1770 - to the point of going for a standup paddle and being absolutely surrounded by them flying over the sea and surrounding ourselves and dogs Surfing and being hit in the face by butterflies while on a wave. ... It was such a beautiful time. When everything was shifting and no one knew wtf was going on, and our little sleepy town was our little sleepy town. Beach to ourselves. Cafes stayed open just to let the locals get their favourite coffee Hardly any cars on the road. Beach everyday and kids surfing It was pure magic really The kids helped me collect dead butterflies from the side of the road and I placed them in my freezer for a fair while until I felt brave enough to experiment on them. I have made so many earrings from these precious insects, and given so many away - and I’m left with mostly pendants now They are all unique and their wing markings are all different yet the same. If you’re interested I have about 8 pendants left - that also look brilliant hung up over a window where the sun light touches it A special memory and gift to a loved one or to yourself. A butterfly made immortal to appreciate its beauty and its meaning always $80 each
