20.01.2022 Carcass results for the 2020 Colin Say & Co LED Steer Competition have been live streamed tonight. I’m so excited to say that Jody Lamph and the students of Gle...n Innes High Agriculture have had outstanding results with Blizzard the steer we bred here at Winter Speckle Park. Blizzard achieved the following results * Champion Carcass Class 5 - 461 - 500kg. There were 28 entries in this class and Blizzard scored the highest points for carcass at 92.2 * Woolworths Champion Middleweight Carcass 2020 * Champion Trade Carcass - that includes Junior, lightweight and middleweight cattle * Blizzard then went on to win ‘Grand Champion Carcass’ Overall Blizzard was an F2 Speckle x Angus Steer sired by Winter Notorious N07 (Son of Minnamurra Junction & Waratah J156). Notorious is now owned by Adam OKeefe in Victoria. Congratulations Jody and the the students on achieving such an amazing result. Stay tuned for the actual data in the next couple of days.

15.01.2022 For those of you who don’t know, I was in an accident yesterday. My shirt wast caught by the pto of the tractor and it took me with it. Other than a sprained ar...m and a lot of cuts and burns on my body I am fine. If Gregg Fulton hadn’t been there to grab me when it threw me to the other side I probably wouldn’t be here. It ripped every stitch of clothes off of my body. Dad has some broken ribs but at least he still has a son. Count your blessings we are not promised tomorrow. **UPDATE** **I had no idea this would go viral but maybe that was God’s plan from the beginning. This is a story that everyone should learn from. I am blessed from your prayers an wishes of good health. If you feel like this is important to share then tell everyone. Let my mistake keep others from doing the same,and maybe we can save some lives.** Also the was a guard on it if you look closely you can see it.

13.01.2022 There are a few firsts happening here in the back half of 2020. One is harvesting of 970 grazing canola, hence another first is having a plane here to spray it! What a thrill! Another first for us will be chopping silage and last week we dug two big pits to bury the chopped silage - all in preparation for the next drought.
