21.01.2022 My debut release Square One dropped four years ago today. I’m still super happy with how it came together, the performances by so many amazing musicians, and the reception it received on release. Although this year has been a challenging one for many people around the world, I have been incredibly appreciative of the time it has given me at home to sit down and delve into the next few records, many of which will start the recording stage in the coming months! 10.01.2022 So this little record came out last week. I woke up on release day super excited to announce it but after reading the news that a number of public housing building near my home were put into lockdown due to COVID-19 health concerns I felt it wasn’t appropriate. I then spent a large part of the next few days trying to support those residents in lockdown as best I could while in lockdown myself. Anyways here she is a week later. Available on all digital platforms! All proceeds from this record are going towards supporting BLM and indigenous organisations both domestic and international to continue to strive for racial equality worldwide. #music #funk #blm #melbourne #melbournemusic #jazz #racialequality #weareallinthistogether
