21.01.2022 New footage has been discovered of the last known Thylacine! The footage, verified to have been filmed in 1935, shows Benjamin the Thylacine (also known as a ...Tasmanian Tiger) at Beaumaris Zoo in Hobart. This is the last known video of a living Thylacine. Benjamin passed away 18 months later, on September 7th 1936, and with his death, the species became extinct. Thylacines were wiped out by humans, and now serve as a painful reminder of how quickly our actions can have an irreversible impact. Video via Guardian Australia End Extinction International
