24.01.2022 Solopreneurship is lonely. My biggest mistake was going it alone. Then luckily, three years ago, I joined the She Will Shine tribe. These incredible women are my business besties. They keep me sane, focused and brave. So many of them have become clients and treasured friends too. On balmy Friday night we dined together on our rooftop, under fairy lights, thunderous clouds and epic lightning. It was a fittingly dramatic setting for celebrating 2017. We shared admiration, inspiration and enough bubbly to help me forget that I can no longer wear high heels on hot nights. Heart bursting with pride seeing my 8yo so inspired by the incredible creativity and craft mastery of Australia's very best photographic artists. There is nothing quite like the Australian Professional Photography Awards for an inspiration overload. So proud of those brave enough to put their heart's work up to be judged. And always impressed by the huge volunteer effort that makes this event so wonderful. Heartfelt is a volunteer organisation of professional photographers who give the gift of photographic memories to families that have experienced stillbirths, premature births or have children with serious and terminal illnesses. All services are provided free of charge. ... Heartfelt has looked after over 8,000 families to date. Next weekend Gavin is running his first marathon - 42kms to raise enough money to fund 42 days of Heartfelt sessions. He's raised half the funds already. But we really need your help. 17.01.2022 I've married hundreds of people. I was a civil celebrant for almost a decade. With every ceremony I officiated we noted the injustice and wished for change. Teary with relief tonight, knowing that Australia is not as intolerant as I feared. Delighting in my rainbow filled feed. Feeling lucky to live in a city so colorful, loud and proud. 10.01.2022 Lighting a candle tonight in honour of all the Heartfelt families and beautiful angel babies I have visited. Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Sending much love to anyone living with such loss. And in awe of Heartfelt founder, Gavin Blue, who ran the Melbourne Marathon today and raised more than $12,000 in donations to support 200 more Heartfelt families on their darkest day. When all hope seems lost, there are people like Gavin willing to be the light. Thankfully.

05.01.2022 I am a big believer in the power of ceremony. I love that meaningful ones help us to pause, reflect, connect and celebrate milestones that matter. So when Clare shared her 40th birthday plans, I was honoured to be invited to document them. We met at dawn, she walked the labyrinth, then she invited her most trusted friends to paint her body. It was a powerful act of self-love, friendship and goddess goodness. Quite unlike anything Id witnessed before. ... I knew from our first conversation that wed be friends. And I love the fierce and fabulous feminine wisdom that Clare brings into my life now. My camera has led me to some truly wonderful people. 01.01.2022 Woah! What a day. Dug deep and found gems at my Storytelling Masterclass this morning. There were tears and laughs with this room of brave, real, and inspiring female business owners. Totally moved me. Then tonight, big hugs and a champagne toast as I wrapped up my first semester of lecturing the Digital Marketing Certificate course for ADMA. My students aced their exams and I was all puffed up with pride. Oh... and I also said YES to my biggest opportunity yet. Head spinning and heart happy. It's been quite the day.
