20.01.2022 I don’t believe in New Year New me, but I am going into the New Year with a new deadlift PB that I am definitely gonna smash in the New Year.

17.01.2022 Boxing today with @pt.fitnesspro Happy with how my boxing form is progressing actually starting to look more like boxing and less flailing about.

16.01.2022 Today I planned to go for heavy deadlifts, I failed reps 20kg of my max and was feeling flat, so dialled it back reduced the weight, increased the reps and focused on form. Not everyday in the gym goes to plan, but it’s still worth it.

14.01.2022 As we approach the end of the year I wanted to talk a little bit bout progress and the consistency of progress. The photo on the left was at the beginning of lockdown in March with the one on the right taken today, I weigh the same in both photos but clearly there has been changes, in March I was training with @samanthalewis.fit face to face regularly, switching to online during lockdown, over the lockdown I saw a drop in the scale and measurements and was happy with my progr...ess, most recently I haven’t been training with a PT and taking the reigns myself which initially went well until it didn’t, I was swinging wildly between restricting food and overtraining to binging and not training at all, I had a body scan which was not the results I expected and began restricting food more and training more with my most recent blood test showing low in multiple areas including iron, potassium and b12. It’s important to remember that progress is not linear and our results will fluctuate but to look at March until now and disregard the number on the scale the results are visible, being aware of your goals and being consistent in your approach will ultimately see progress. 12.01.2022 Xmas time and food. Xmas time is great to catch up with family/friends and of course enjoy a feast. One day won’t mess up any of your progress or goals, enjoy your day, enjoy your food and get back on track once the food coma has worn off

11.01.2022 2020 may not have been the best, and I like many others felt like, not a lot was achieved besides surviving the year that was, but whilst I was driving home from working at the races doing photography, I had the realisation that at the end of 2019 I had quietly made a goal that within a year I would be working as a PT and photographer to support myself and return to uni. 2020 was a stressful mess for myself and so many others, but out of it I did actually manage to achieve something, it took me a while to realise it, but here I am in 2021 working as a PT and photographer, and about to start my masters. That quiet goal I made in 2019 has been realised and I couldn’t be happier

07.01.2022 Regardless if it’s New Years or July, it’s important to have goals to be working towards, whether it’s fitness goals or just general life goals know what they are, know what your working for. Re-evaluate your goals regularly and consider are they working for you, are you close to hitting them, do you need to make them more realistic? When you reach a goal give yourself a pat on the back, feel like a legend and set new goals. If you don’t have any goals, you have nothing to aim for, nothing to motivate you to keep pushing when it’s hard, and no goal to hit and feel great about yourself.

05.01.2022 Happy Bornday Josh! When Josh began training with me he’s main goal was to build strength and become fitter, in the early stages of training he struggled to bench press the bar. Look at him now, after tweaking some form and gaining some consistency in the gym he smashed a bench press personal best on his birthday. Well done mate, looking forward to seeing more personal bests come your way. @jord_._._._

02.01.2022 Got a solid concentration face going

02.01.2022 First tracked run in a while, and to be honest I was pretty disappointed with the pace and wasn’t happy with my effort, the plan was two laps, but at the end of the day our workouts aren’t always going to be perfect and today I’m still getting over a cold and finished covered in snot as well as running into the wind for 3kms plus my headphones died 1km in. In saying that whilst I was disappointed with the run I went and did it despite not wanting to and the next will be better.
